Ceviche and mahi mahi we're very good. Lots of vegetarian options also
Charming and laid-back without being precious and wine-country-twee. Casual, almost industrial, interior, with a nice patio in back, and a parklet in front. Service is always super-friendly, helpful, and professional. But the food is the stand-out. Always start with the deviled eggs with crab. To die for. All of their "small plates" are delicious, and they are not particularly small, either. Shrimp or pork tacos are always terrific, as are their burgers. Menu changes frequently.

We had a wonderful evening at Oso, starting off with fresh shucked oysters and a delicious home made minet. We ordered the Mahi Mahi and the shrimp Gritts as well as fresh bread and a special appetizer with Burrata - everything was delicious ! Would definitely return.
Great service
I arrived on time for my reservation, they had just opened, I requested the back patio on my reservation if they were seating back there as there had been staffing issues in the past, I was informed that he had just given the table away. The gentleman I spoke with was short with me and unapologetic. The only choices were very small table on the street or inside in the very noisy (loud music) at an equally small table. We choose to go elsewhere. The chef makes delicious well crafted food but needs to know whatâs going on in the front of the house. The person i interacted with couldnât have cared less about me and my group of 5. I have eaten there many times in the past and each time his attitude has been consistent. I was very embarrassed as I pushed this group to Oso. Iâm going to miss the chefâs excellent Thai mussels but coming back is out as I canât justify the service from the front of the house. Good luck to the chef.

This is the second time weâve been here and we ordered the same dish which is the steak for 2. First time we thought it wouldnât be enough for 2 people but it was. And it was delicious on both times. Also the baked oysters are phenomenal. The service also is wonderful. This is one of our new go to places now in Sonoma.
