La Salette is in a quiet courtyard area off Sonoma Plaza, with pleasant surroundings and no street noise. The cuisine, partly Portuguese, is excellent, and there is a fine selection of both California and Portuguese wines. The service we have received has always been prompt and considerate. Last time, we arrived just before the kitchen closed, but were treated to as fine a meal as ever.
Hostess and wait staff are friendly and attentive. Food was good, portions fitting for a lunch. Octopus was our favorite dish. Chicken salad was good also. We appreciated dog friendly patio. Looking forward to returning to try other dishes.
Octopus was small amount for the price point..service a little slow but friendly.

Always wonderful food and friendly staff. True Wine Country (Portuguese style) food without the high prices nor pretentiousness. Love this place.
Anniversary dinner and end of vacation
One of my favorite Sonoma restaurants; great ambiance, attentive service, delicious food. I always look forward to eating here.
