This restaurant is surprisingly massive. We stumbled upon it in a shopping alley, but I think there are a couple entrances. Chose to sit outside and were delighted with the seating. Food was very good - pork is excellent. Salsa and chips are really good, as well. Waitress was attentive w/o being obnoxious. Nice respite with a margarita on a hot day.
We ate at the other Mexican place, a block away, last year and really did not like it so I checked the internet reviews that said La Casa was good. I agree. The fajitas were so large, my wife and I split one order. We tried 3 of the 4 margaritas and they were all good... not overly sweet, and used fresh ingredients. Chips and salsa were good and plentiful.Only disappointment was the fried ice cream. The breading was not warm or crisp but the ice cream was good.We sat on the back patio and it was pleasant. There were lots of flies buzzing us and the other patrons so if that bothers you, eat inside.
Stopped here by chance and were pleasantly surprised. Very nice restaurant in the downtown area. The food was very good and the staff was excellent. Very handicapped accessible.
Classic California/ Mexican dishes, a super friendly staff, & family-friendly atmosphere. Easy, casual, very good service, Mexican standards pleasantly prepared & served. Portions enormous (dinners would have served 2 women, easily).
Great food, great service and oh what fun we had sharing a meal with dear friends. We highly recommend La Casa, especially the Prawn Chille Rellano-outstanding.
