Friendly staff, quick service, reasonable prices.
Why have I not tried Jacob's before??? I was running errands and started getting hungry for lunch. I saw the sign for Jacob's Restaurant and impulsively pulled into the parking lot. It was nearly noon time and I appeared to be the only patron for a Wednesday lunch.I was greeted by a wonderful hostess with a terrific smile who made me feel welcomed. The restaurant is very casual (which I like since I typically dine alone); there is even outdoor dining available.I ordered the Pesto Eggplant pizza and the crab cakes appetizer. The crab cakes were delicious! Served with a drizzle of citrus mayo. They were probably one of the best crab cakes I have ever eaten as they are loaded with crab meat and less filler than others I have eaten. I would have liked them a bit more crispy, though. The Pesto Eggplant pizza was equally delicious. It was beautifully loaded with veggies and small bits of eggplant. It was wonderfully flavored with pesto, spring onions and the perfect amount of cheese. I think I have discovered my new favorite pizza in Sonoma! Thankfully, I ordered a large size as I took 3/4 of the pizza home for a few other meals!I look forward to returning to Jacob's to explore other items on their menu.
We went there cos review were good. And yes the food was good. Crab cake is one of the best we ever tried here in California. Pasta were good too.Only thing is the staff admitted she doesn’t know much about wine and thus cannot make any recommendations.
We had a couple of beers, great salad, and a soup. All delicious. Nice sitting area outside under an old grape vine. Cozy.
Wow the price is so expensive in Sonoma! Can you belive it is over $70 for everything? (I ordered 2 bowls of soup but they put it in 3 cups because they didn't have it) The salad in a little box + prawns you can see is $17. I am surprised about their portion. Even if I added a half salad ($6 on their online menu), they didn't prepare it and say nothing about it. (Just gone even if I paid!) and I noticed when I am back to Hotel. And I called them and they looked not sorry and told me about salad that it looks confusing and they didn't prepare! Very unpleasing memory. Terrible service.
Ordered pizzas for a group of 35. Pizzas were tasty and toppings were plentiful. The salads were fresh as well. Would definitely order from here again.
So it was good, could be better.Their hot wings are so good! But 6 wings for $11? At least 8 wings would’ve been good for the price. The calamari is good- needs to be fried more, they were very rubbery like, knowing they were frozen out of a bagThe pizza is alright, it’s pretty decent.Customer service is good too! Very patient and brought our food to us pretty quickly.
They delivered to the Lodge across the street and the food was not hot. They charged $6.99 for delivery but wouldn't deliver to the individual Lodge Room. They did not provide eating utensils to eat the pasta. We substituted olive oil for the butter sauce and their was a pool of oil left when done, "too much!!!".
I ordered the $20 shrimp fettuccine alfredo. I have never ordered shrimp fettuccine only to receive the small neon pink salad shrimp. I opened it and the shrimp smell was very strong. Extremely disappointed. I door dashed my dinner otherwise I would have returned it. Went straight to the trash.
Some of the most intense flavor I’ve ever had in Italian food. Very citrusy and my spicy sausage tasted almost like tikka masala. It was so filling we could barely finish half (had leftovers later of course). The wait staff was so kind and inviting, particularly the lady with the Japanese inspired tattoo half sleeve. Overall incredible experience. I will definitely be back!!!
