My first experience with this eatery was using Door Dash & I loved the sandwich (Son of Odin) so much that I told my friend about it so we decided to go into the location & have lunch last Friday. When we walked in it was disappointing. Every table was unclean. We sat down while we reviewed the menu & had to request our table be cleaned since none of the four guys working made the effort on their own. The guy who took our order was curt & seemed annoyed when I asked questions. I ordered the Son of Odin with a side of macaroni salad, my friend ordered the Santa SooZana with a side of potato salad & we both had drinks. I ate my macaroni salad first then unwrapped my sandwich to discover it had a large thumb-sized mushy spot on one half of the sandwich so I started eating the other half & the roast beef was dry & hard. I picked out the roast beef & ate several more bites before putting the remainder in the paper bag to throw in the trash. My friend didn't like the look of the potato salad & when he took a bite he didn't like the taste so that went into the paper bag while he ate most of his sandwich but was unimpressed. We threw out more than half of our order & that's unacceptable. The atmosphere is semi frat house. Workers with long hair don't wear it pulled back or in a net so that's a bit concerning. It's not an inviting place to stay & eat a meal.We like clean inviting places with consistently good food & pleasant staff. Sadly, this place doesn't meet those simple basic standards.
When I went the person behind the counter was more worried about flirting with a girl than making my sandwich. She came in after my boyfriend and I and received her sandwich first. He didn't even start making ours until she left. Literally spent 10 minutes talking to her and I gave over a 25% tip. Very disappointed in the service. In addition, they ran out of tomatoes and didn't even cut more for my sandwich so it was missing something when I ate it.
The sandwiches are good, and price is good considering how much they stuff the sandwiches. They just seem really unorganized and like they're losing track of orders or just can't keep up with orders, and the wait just builds up.
Absolutely fantastic! Got myself a #12 The Son of Odin and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The mustard was almost a little overpowering but even still it was an excellent sandwich. My only real complaint is not knowing what sandwich to try next.10/10 recommend The Sandwich Spot.
Absolutely my favorite sandwich shop. They are fast and don’t skip quality.
