The atmosphere provides a feeling like you're in a courtyard of a nice little Mexican town, it's really neat. The crew was very nice, but seemed overwhelmed when we were there and I think that affected their level of service. We had lunch on a Saturday and there were a good amount of customers there, but it also seemed like there was a lot of staff. We had orders mixed up or forgotten, didn't return for drink refills very often, little stuff like that. The food was good, seemed like everyone enjoyed their meals all and all.Good all around, I wouldn't mind eating there again, but I also wouldn't go out of my way to seek it out.
Went to dinner with a friend. I haven't been to this location in a while. We ordered margaritas, which weren't that strong. Our food was good and our waitress was attentive.
Food was really good, we were sat right away. Food came out very hot the enchilada in mole was great and so was the shredded beef hard taco. Excellent customer service waiter was always checking in on us to make sure we were going ok and to freshen up our drinks.. it was my first time there. i will ne go back when i visit Simi Valley again.
The ambiance is old school. Prices are decent, the meat is tender, the salsa delicious and chips are fresh. It's freeway close and priced just right?
Went last night. Food was not hot. Sent it back came out with very hot plate but food still Not hot. Sent it back and got a ground beef taco. It wasn’t good. I really wanted to love this place BUT ?? Think we will stick to Yolanda’s.
Wouldn't go back. Polite staff and quick service, but the steak I had there was not the best. Wouldn't likely go back. Not the best selection of dishes. And they don't know what the spicy label is for, cause there was nothing spicy about that meal. ?
Great selection of Mexican dishes. From seafood to Carne asada to Carnitas. Full bar inside as well. The chips are highly addictive to start, followed by authentic flavors of good portioned plates.
Wow! The food is so damn good. We got it to go and it cooled down significantly but still... the flavor was on point. It was the best chicken tortilla soup that I, or my dad, have ever had. The cheese enchiladas were great. The decor of the restaurant, chips and salsa, and service while we waited were all great too. Highly recommend! I'm disappointed I live so far away.
A place you can met people to be new friends, as we have. Food is authentic. Servers are great. Happy hour at the bar is the place to be. Sorry to say I prefer Simi than Moorpark.
Still our go to for Mexican food in Simi Valley. We come here at least once per week for dinner. Friday and Saturday are still their busiest nights.I have been ordering a lot of shrimp dishes lately. The shrimp fajitas and shrimp burrito a la diabla. They use shrimp that are a nice size and it is a good portion. The chips and salsa are some of the best. The salsa is spicy!Service is still on par. Servers are friendly and helpful. Drinks are kept filled and chips and salsa never run low. We've been coming here for years, and we will continue to, probably every week, lol.
