If I could give - stars I would. I’ve been coming to uba tuba since their first location. Which has been years, and today I went to the location on Ventura and van nuys at around 2 pm. Which is my least favorite location bc 1. The employees are rude and it’s the dirtiest location of them all. Not only that their açaí tastes off compared to the other locations. I came in with my friend and his goat about a week ago and today when I went the owner exposed her name as “Daniella” said bc he brought his goat last time they won’t serve us this time. Nor did they let me get the bowls. The goat is a service animal and it has papers and it’s a small dwarf goat nothing big or obnoxious, and as for health issues it has all vaccinations. That’s beyond rude for someone to do that when we do come everyday sometimes more than once a day. I don’t understand why they couldn’t have just said we don’t allow animals instead of going the extra few miles to do the unnecessary stuff. I’m beyond disappointed and amused.
Tried it for the first time tonight. The staff is very friendly and explained everything. You can't really eat there, even though there are token tables, it's too small and crowded. I ordered 3 Empanadas ($15.00)...one each of beef, chicken and ham & cheese. The chicken and beef Empanadas were filled with meat and vegetables, and the dough shell was tender. The ham & cheese was a complete waste! It was very dry, hard and even slightly burned, and weighed at least half of what the others weighed. You can see from this photo how empty is is inside. The filling that was in there was as dried up as the outside of the shell. Just terrible. I originally wanted to eat there, and there's no way I wouldn't have sent this one back for another flavor. But I was not about to walk back there just for that. Just a complete waste of $5.00.The açaí was delicious! Cold, tart and sweet. The topping were carefully and artfully arranged and the coconut sauce was a great addition. It was pricy at $8 for a small, but it was all fresh and done exactly to your taste so it's a nice treat.Just avoid the ham & cheese Empanda and you should be fine.
Loved the acai coconut with pineapple and oreos toppings. Service was great and the environment is generally nice. Id go again and again
Always awesome. Tasty and healthy. The best place for healthy sweet treat. Love it.
Great taste ? and friendly service!
Every single time my girlfriend and I go to this location the empanadas are literally burnt to a crisp or they forget something!Never had a good experience at this place in nearly a year going there and now I just wish I could get ALL of my money back including the 25% tips I leave before I even get my order out of love.Maybe they don’t like Brazilians or something Idk ??
Delicious!!! The woman who helped me was extremely nice. This was my 2nd trip there. Will definitely go back.
Giving this place 5 stars for not disappointing me every time I order. They also use fresh ingredients for their Açaí bowls . I just can tell unlike other places I’ve ordered from. Their Pao de Queijo which is a cheese bread made from tapioca flour is a must try. I’m from a tropical country and I miss that tapioca taste. I first tried it when I went out with a few of my Brazilian friends and loved it. So now I found it I don’t have to go all the way to Culver City. ?
Great service. Super fresh and delicious
Giving it 5 stars cause I use to work there, my name is Walt. Got the pleasure to meet lots of beautiful soul people and my favorite bowl is there Agave Coconut with all the goodies on top & that ginger sauce is fire at the end with that peanut butter powder at the end!
