They have a Mediterranean appetizer which was exceptional! It was recently added to the menu and I would recommend it. Their drinks are really good! They tend to get busy just after 4pm and parking is a challenge.
I called on Saturday, 11am, looking to purchase a gift certificate for my son, who will soon be moving into this neighborhood. I was calling from the east coast. As I was speaking to the person answering the phone, he interrupted and said “does any of this have anything to do with this restaurant ?” I said yes, I was calling from the east and wasn’t familiar with this business, or area. I then asked him, “if I purchase a gift certificate, could it be mailed to his current address ?” “No”. Based upon his abrupt response, I then asked him if they had stamps in California. He said “ yes we have stamps, just not that mechanism” Ok. Whatever that means, I would have gladly paid for handling/service. He never let me get that far. Needless to say, I’ll be purchasing a gift certificate elsewhere, from a business who appreciates someone attempting to support local business. This guy shouldn’t be allowed to answer the phone.

We found The Sherman by chance. Hostess was very inviting not only seating us but helped us throughout the night. Service was great, drinks were good as well. I will recommend ?
Great and electric menu...we all had7l different entrees and loved them. The Sherman hamburger is probably the best I ever had. Our other guests thought the cioppini was delicious. Great children's menu too. And excellent service

Best neighborhood bar in Sherman Oaks! I come here weekly to sit at the bar, enjoy fabulous food, wonderful authentic service and get some work done. Music is always amazing, their customers are a nice blend of locals, couples on a date, and a vibrant friends getting together to connect.
Just had the best skirt steak and Brussels Sprouts I have ever had, in my life! In fact I’ll have to think about which number, 1-5... to pick as one of the best meals I ever had in my life! I will be back here all 5 nights I’m in town (on business). I’d be willing to bet the other dishes are equally good. Trust me, you can’t go wrong here.
I tried The Sherman for the first time a month ago. I didn't expect much in the way of food. I thought it was more of a bar. I had the blacken salmon salad. It was delicious ! Perfect. I was blown away by the food. I've been back a couple times and the food is consistently amazing. Today I tried the Fish and Chips. Wow ! It is freshly made, no frozen stuff here. It was honestly the best Fish and Chips I have ever had. The Sherman is my new favorite for lunch. The service is always good. The food will keep me coming back.
