Came here on a Monday evening with some friends and we had a really good time. The food was really good and the drinks were yummy as well! The service was also really good!We hope to come back soon for more yummy food and drinks!

With Jason and Drew at the bar, you're a shooting star... at this place!Part of the whole Ambiance of this place is the bartenders! These guys are really cool oh, really chill, could talk to you about anything. You definitely feel welcome at this place.Happy Hour! It's all about the happy hour pricing, value, discount.Music... On Point! Some Madonna, Double Dutch Bus, Rumors, Mary Jane, old school hip hop. Love it!Fun factoid: Mak, was apparently the owner's nickname in school. So, I got the Big Mak today. The burger is delicious, juicy (get it medium or medium rare to taste the fresh beef flavor), and it's even got a little tangy flavor about. It was seasoned perfectly.Waaaaaaaay better than a Big Mack at... you know where.Honestly, this Mak burger at the Local Peasant is on par with 1 of the best burgers I've had ever. The sauce on the side is like a thousand island with a little kick to it. Also, there's a nice hint of garlic and onion flavor. It's good, get it!I opted for the thick cut fries, and wow, they are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. It's a nice crunch, followed by a satisfying mash feeling. The fries are great.Heck YES I will be back, with more friends too.Parking... schmarking. Walk, Uber, park 3 blocks away, carpool, it's worth it.

Parking with no fee but read the signs. An ez walk. Food is top notch. No frills. Great portions. Great place for conversation. U cannot go wrong here.Interesting beer choices and knowledgeable staff

1st timer (not local): met here with fam who came up from SD after Universal Studios. Great atmosphere for large parties. The spot is bigger than expected. And outdoor seating too. RESERVE a table online ahead of time. HARRIS RANCH beef (if you ever travel the 5 to northern Cali then you should know how good the beef is at Harris Ranch!) all the food was as expected - delicious. Great list of beers, wine, happy hour. Servers were accommodating and went out of their way for a couple of our requests.

Stopped here for a quick dinner with friends but turned out to a long nice evening with nice food and some nice cocktails. Definitely recommend this place.

This was my second time dining at this location. I think I liked it better the the first time I dined here. It was a busy Saturday night so, it was to be expected for the crowds and the bar like seen than a restaurant. We sat in the back which appeared to be an add on addition, but they stored a lot of items, like kegs and propane tanks. Wasn’t a great look. We enjoyed the food, but pretty basic for the price. I was expecting something a bit more since it cost like $16 for a grilled cheese and tomato soup. I still like this place and would go again but would like to see coming on a more relaxed night maybe?

Overall, things were really great, but a few items were just okay.Highlights were the mac and cheese, the meatballs, plus the deviled eggs. The mac and cheese was creamy, rich, and absolutely full of flavor. Some of the best I've ever had. The meatballs were also amazing. They're huge, and with the ricotta and bread that comes with them, some awesome Italian food. And the eggs, holy hell. I could have eaten those eggs like Gaston. The drinks were kinda tasty but weak, and a couple of the items just had slight problems (overly charred brussel sprouts - that was the only problem with them btw, otherwise they were great) and the wings were a bit dry.The staff was awesome, and Jason took really good care of us. Would go back to try other things here (and get those eggs again).

The food is great. The service is great. I hope the guys in the kitchen get the credit they deserve cause people like to write negative comments when there is a human error but don’t mention the good as often as they should

Good food, great atmosphere, nice location in Sherman Oaks with the option for fully opened windows. Food was good quality, but felt a little overpriced for what you actually get. Maybe I don't understand where this company sources from or something but there's a lot of places I'd choose over this one in terms of quality for the price. Nice drink selection though and reasonably priced cocktails!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! So my brother an I was searching for a cool boozy brunch to hit b4 my flight an we came across “The Local Peasant” the name alone sold me an the menu was right up our alley so I called to see if we needed a reservation cause I know how busy brunch can be the gentleman on the phone said we didn’t need one as it wasn’t busy an it was just b4 noon. Upon Arrival it wasn’t busy as the gentleman said so I asked the hostess for a table for two she stated that that last table of two was reserved an the table for four they keep open for bigger parties and she could only offer us a high top table I express that the chairs for the high top tables weren’t good for my back an that I would have made a reservation for a table when I called. She then offered me a seat at the bar which had the same chairs. After expressing that the chairs was the same the young lady then said well I guess I can seat in the table for two because the reservations didn’t specify what they wanted. As she began to walk my brother an I to the table the party of two that made reservations had walked in the young lady an gentleman helping the women exchanged words an the gentleman’ proceeded to place the party of two at the table of four that the young lady had previously told men was only for bigger parties! I don’t understand why it was so easy for theses two women to just come in a have a seat an my brother an I was given the run around i would hate to say that it was because the two women that came in after us was caucasian an my brother an I aren’t however the services we received would say otherwise needless to say we did not stay nor will we return and or suggest anyone visit this establishment aside from that the place looks really cute. 01-23-22 @12:05
