My wife and I stopped by this place for breakfast while visiting LA and were really hoping it would be something special... but alas, it wasn't. We spent over $50 for breakfast for two and coffee, which to me sets my expectations pretty high, so when the food arrived and the portions were pretty small, we were a bit disappointed. If it was amazingly tasty, we would have been happy, but alas, it was actually pretty boring and basic breakfast fare. I had the breakfast burrito which was served with... nothing and had to ask for some salsa, only to be rewarded with a thimble sized portion of pico de Gallo. My wife had the ham and cheese omelet that sounded and looked better than it tasted. The coffee was not to our liking either, with a strong citrusy note that I know a lot of people like but we don't really care for. And you get one cup. No refills. That's it. All and all a pricey experience that left us pretty disappointed.
Food was pretty amazing. Just wished a server would check in on my table at least once. It was a pretty hot day and a staff member brought a water tray for a dog sitting next to us. Will visit again because all the dishes coming out looked delicious.
The food is not bad... almost all dishes center around fried chicken... the cold coffee drinks "suck" through a paper straw... both taste terrible!Nice place to sit outside with friends, chat and watch traffic go by...
This is when I saw I found a gem. The food was good. I had the Brioche French Toast with maple syrup (light - not too sweet yay!! Came with fresh strawberries and blackberries. The coffee is really good!! I didn’t even had to add sugar to it. I had a cafe Latte with almond milk. They must have an amazing coffee machine (I’m a coffee lover). The dessert was delicious! Again not too sweet. Look at the picture to see what I ordered. This cafe is French inspired. They have jazz music and makes you feel like you are in Europe. The outdoor sitting is really pretty. Ve tú clean and nicely decorated. Prices are very reasonable. Thanks for that management! ?
I treated my sister to brunch here for her birthday. We ordered two Mia’s Breakfasts with fruit instead of meat. They came with two eggs and delicious pancakes. The berry selection was scrumptious! The host found a perfect corner spot for us. It was a hot day so the misting system helped. They had lemon ice water stations too. Everyone was so attentive and hard working! My sis had a great time.
First time visiting, food was very good service good and not so good, waiters were very nice and kind however our order was delayed due computer ( glitched ) which I find very hard to believe. We waited for 30 minutes for our food, they apologized and complemented us with free pastries.
After ordering breakfast and lunch dishes while discussing a meeting, we were about to order more for convenience when we were asked to leave. I was still clearly consuming a large beverage. This is not the place it used to be and the staff are now awful. It was family owned and I watched when the younger owners had PRIDE. Now it is awful. Covid has dealt everyone a bad hand but rudeness is not acceptable.
I ordered the biscuits and gravy with fried chicken, and my girlfriend ordered the chicken and waffles. Both the chicken and the gravy were absolutely bland, there was no seasoning at all. The chicken tasted like plain boiled chicken and the gravy tasted like thick milk. I had to add copious amounts of salt and pepper to everything just to have a smidge of flavor. It was the worst meal that I have ever bought.
The chocolate chip cookies are amazing. What is not amazing is to be LIED to two separate times I purchased them saying they are freshly made today! To far to return them but done trusting! For the price they charge they really shouldn’t LIE!
The chicken and waffles were exceptional. Small line to get in, but then the service was quick and friendly. Highly recommended for breakfast or brunch.
