This Sherman oaks location is convenient and spacious nice staff. My complaint is simple, the food is inconsistent. I usually order the chicken & California roll plate. The chicken is usually undercooked or old because it has a weird flavor while the rolls are cut way smaller than their other locations. Their mandarin salad looks soggy and old, but it still tasted alright. Twice now I've gotten weird tasting chicken from here and I don't think I'll be ordering here again. We ate here 4 times and the quality has only declined. Their Santa Monica location is miles ahead when it comes to consistent quality. The only thing I'd recommend here is their stake meat it was actually really tasty and my son loved it too.
I usually eat at the San Sai Pasadena and they always have fresh and tasty food. I visited the San Sai Sherman Oaks today and the quality and taste were not great. The lettuce of the oriental salad was old and it had a bitter taste. The chicken was also pretty dry. I don't think I'll return to this location.
The food is delicious, the salmon is delicious and the tempura is outstanding! Reasonably priced and great service.

Have been here 20+ times, excellent food particularly the chicken teriyaki, for the price they give you a lot of food, the chicken breast is clean and high quality. Its a simple, classic dish but they do it well. The Sumi salad is a nice compliment. The restaurant is clean, with a small parking lot nearby, safe, and friendly staff. My go-to for a quick lunch during workday.
Amazing food . I love their chicken bowl!!!!!! The salads are always made fresh . The oriental salad is my fav !!
What the hell happened to Sansai? New management trying to squeeze an easy quick buck out of a struggling but was once a quality franchise! The food quality now is the next level after garbage - it is inedible. The beef was not like any beef I’ve experienced in traveling the world! - full of cartilage and gristle!! And a simple thing like salad it was dry chopped up cabbage with no (as in none) dressing. To add further insult the prices were raised! Be forewarned Sansai as you once knew it is gone! Dead and buried!

I really liked the food, I personally order chicken teriyaki but this time I decided to go with the Tiger Roll Delicious , even my friend’s mom loves the tiger roll we’re definitely ordering more !
The California roll was OK and the price was fair...I just didn't feel welcomed. Though the people working there were adequate, but lacked warmth and welcoming personality. I was sitting right outside their door but noone told me my order was sitting on the counter. I had to go in and they told me it was there! Not somewhere I would return to.
