Staff was very friendly and helpful. The pizza was just like back in Chicago. The end crust, for me, is the key. Usually when places try to replicate Chicago deep dish they end up with a loaf of bread for the end crust. You also have to love a pizza with a sausage patty the size of the pizza!

Finally there's a place in The Valley that does real, Chicago-style deep dish pizza! Growing up in Socal, I thought I knew deep dish based on the thick-crust pan pizza I'd heard marketed as deep dish my while life, but when I visited Illinois a few years back I learned Chicago-style is a thing of its own! SO much sauce, and SO much cheese, piled thick, really living up to the pie name.

First tasted Gino's when my family and I were in Arlington. We were ecstatic when we saw they were going to open one in Sherman Oaks. Best pizza ever! Great quality and quantity. Two pizzas feed my family of 6.

First let me be honest and say I don't care for deep dish pizza because I find it too heavy. However I really liked this pizza! It was delicious and surprisingly light! The owners were very nice and stopped by the table to make sure everything was fine. I would recommend the spinach mozzarella sticks, they have a great flavor and nice crunch! The wait for a table is long (I'm guessing every Chicago transplant is rushing over) but I would wait again for this place.

I genuinely hate to rate a company poorly, but when it comes to customer service, I feel like I have to share. I called to order a pizza and asked if I could do carry out, to which they said that they don’t allow for this. I said that was fine and that I would come in to eat if I could order over the phone (because, as they mentioned, it’s a 45 minute wait). However, they also said that this is somehow impossible. The person answering the phone was super rude and had no interest in helping out, so I asked for a manager. Unfortunately, he was even worse and after I asked if he could do me a favor and problem solve my need to crush a pizza after a long day, he told me there was nothing he could do and hung up. Just to be clear: we’re talking about pizza. You really couldn’t have made an exception and put in an order over the phone? Wild, just wild. Shame because I live in the neighborhood too and would have come often.

They don’t do pizza orders/pickup, dine in only.... Chicagoan born and raised, all I wanted was a pizza for the holidays to remind me of home and bring it over to a friends house. But they refused to take my order down and the location is a 40 min drive away, plus 45+ min wait for a pizza. I love Gino’s East but they’re not worth a 2.5 hour trip.

They don't do takeout and the host that tells you that is rude about it. Place looked nice but after that odd experience, no thanks.

My favorite food is pizza. Thin or deep. Pizza is life On my trip to Chicago I tried Ginos East and I was mesmerized. I was looking forward to the opening for the Los Angeles location. The pizza pie was filled with delicious flavor. I had the meaty legend. They didn’t have Canadian beacon but every bite I took has plenty of toppings, cheese and crust. @raulvsfood

As a Chicago transplant, I'm so grateful this restaurant has opened. I love deep dish pizza and have missed it greatly ever since moving to LA. I've tried a number of attempts at deep dish pizza out here and all have been disappointing.

It’s finally open for business. Honestly best pizza west of Mississippi.!! The pizza was amazing, we really enjoyed it. As far as space, it’s really tight! I wish there was more space and it wasn’t as packed.
