Yes, it was good. But more, it was INTERESTING. Each bite I dug into saying both “mmmm” and “hmmmm?”This isn’t your standard corner soul food joint. The Chef is creating something elevated. This dish would be served at any chic restaurant in LA to applause, but it also belongs here. Somehow - it’s both.
Food was AMAZING!!! I drove from San Diego to Sherman oaks last week just to try the food and it was worth it! Restaurant was extremely clean, The chef was welcoming and the lady at the register was so welcoming. I had the shrimp dinner with yams and potato salad and I was BLOWN AWAY! I will not only return again but will TELL EVERYONE I KNOW THEY HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE OUT!
I came in last minute with a party of 6, last minute and still, every order was correct, and the service was great! the food is the best in the valley. Yams and mac are out of this world, and let's not even talk about the buffalo chicken sandwich ?? shout out to the chef!

Been waiting for some good soul food in the west SFV. This is my new spot. Ordered chicken wing platters with fries, Mac n cheese, candied yams and collard greens. EVERYTHING was delicious! Can’t wait to try other dishes and some desserts. Definitely a must try!
Got the veggie platter with Mac and cheese, candied yams, and potato salad. All were good but the potato salad was fantastic! The house punch was also great. Would go back.
