I have been a patron of Finbars for over 20 years. Not only is the food the best Italian around, the staff and owner are awesome people. It's like having dinner with family.
GET THE LASAGNA!!! 5 star lasagna, you won’t be disappointed. (I’m a hard critic) The eggplant parm was a bit salty for my taste, the WINE list is good and their salads taste fresh. This is my second time here. You’ll be happy and your stomach satisfied - NOTE to management, more soup options.
Service was really very nice: polite and attentive. Well appreciated.The food itself was sort of red sauce Italian,not bad but neither special nor exciting.Lunch prices are extremely reasonable with solid portions.All in all a friendly place.
BEST LASAGNA. Pizza is good the wine is good the salads are fresh. Eggplant Parma was a little salty. It’s a good well rounded restaurant, you won’t be dissatisfied.
I’ve been taking my family and friends to Finbars for some years now. The service is always consistently friendly and precise. Last Friday we enjoyed a pre-Mothers Day meal which did not disappoint. Our Server was “new” but was very friendly, professional, and if she did t know the answer to our questions, she quickly found out.She is a delight; I only wish I could remember her name. Young, sweet, and very good at her job .Thank you Finbars management for ensuring the level of service is at the highest level for a consistent customer.
Have gone there for a long time but this time it wasn’t good. A sour looking woman didn’t greet us cordially she simply ordered us outside because the third person hadn’t arrived. It was 100’ outside. We asked nicely if we could just sit and order. No. Had to wait for our last person. We refused to sit out in the oppressive heat. After 40 minutes of standing (our third person was stuck in traffic) we had asked numerous times if we could just sit down and order. Still no. I then asked for the manager. Joseph said we weren’t allowed to sit but did offer seats at the bar. We told him that had never been offered to us. Usually the staff is very friendly. Not last night. The waiter was somewhat cordial but not the same as usual. Maybe they had an employee meeting that didn’t go so well. I hope next time will be nicer again.
Great Italian Food. Classics as well as more modern dishes. Full bar and great service!
Joseph and his team always deliver. Finally had a chance to bring the kids are and it’s as great now as it was a decade ago. A must stop along PCH for authentic Italian food for all of the family!
Finbars was a nice and cozy restaurant with a NYC vibe within the Seal Beach community. Yes, service can be slow, but everybody worked together and were hustling the entire time we were there. They also help pre-bus tables and bring meals out to other tables so the food doesn't sit and wait. Our food and drinks were flavorful and the happy hour pricing convinced to get an app. We will definitely be back, BRAVO!!
As a long time customer, over 20 years, I was surprised how bad the service was tonight. Also, there was an issue with the bill and instead of the waitress correcting it she sent over the manager to argue with me. I did not ask to see the manager! I said I have been coming here for years and he said he doesn't care, pointed to all the other customers and said he has a restaurant full of customers. I supported them at the peak of covid when nobody was dinning out and was hurt to be made to feel so unimportant and insulted. My family and I will not be returning!
