Not many places for lunch in Seal Beach. Blackboard is best in class, large menu, nice patio but nothing is memorable or quite hits the mark.
The Service like the food,is always the best.The name refers to an old kindergarten that used to there.Mary E.Zoeter.When you go there you will see several references to it.Its a favorite,not only to us Locals,but to visitors as well.Good food,Great Service,Small Town Charm.
Had a great breakfast ( hash, rice,and eggs) plus mimosas. It was Mother's day morning and we got there right as they opened. Plenty of parking with fast service.

I was in the mood for breakfast so I decided to head over to Blackboard Bistro since I was in the area and haven't been there in a long time. I was pretty surprised that there wasn't a crowded parking lot or a long wait but hey no complaints from me lol. I ordered the Mediterranean Omelette which comes with Hasbrowns and I ordered a side of French Toast. Oh Yes! I was ready to take this breakfast down, I was big hungry lol so I knew this would hit the spot. The French Toast, was just as I remembered, fluffy and packed with the perfect amount of vanilla and cinammon( still a fav) and the Omelette was also good. The only thing I would have needed more of was the cheese factor and a little more seasoning, other than that it was good.My order was a to go order but usually the patio is my spot, a beautiful space to sit outdoors and enjoy the weather and delicious food. If you ever decide to swing by Blackboard Bistro I would recommend: The Playground or The Playground Special, Santa Fe or Sunrise Skillet or if you want an Omelette The Hangover or Round The World. Though my Omelette was good, in my opinion those that I mentioned are better. I truly enjoyed breakfast and it was great visiting a restaurant I haven't been to in a while. You can't go wrong with a good breakfast on a beautiful Sunday morning.. Me and my tummy was very happy

Breakfast tacos are the bomb! The place was very busy but the counter was empty so we were able to sit and order right away (we NEVER mind sitting at the counter!). Food portions are generous, we watched pancake stacks the size of a head being delivered! Fresh fruit was yummy, I highly recommend Blackboard Bistro!
This place flies under most people's radar. Great breakfasts, omelets are good, pancakes best in town, home made jam. Great outside patio, easy parking. Hey Mikey try it, you might like it!!!!
Great breakfast. Patio is pretty big. The home fries (or country potatoes?) are great.
This is the second time I come here for brunch my sister and her family are regulars here and they love it. blueberry pancakes are the best. Service is excellent very friendly.
