This use to be my neighborhood Taco shop and the food is good. But the prices have went 3 times in the last 4 months and I can't justify paying what there are charging nowadays. I'm not sure if the owner is getting gready but they lost a good customer that use to visit the establishment at least twice a week. PEOPLE PLEASE BE AWARE OF BEING OVERCHARGED WITH YOUR DEBIT CARD HERE! CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNT! I ordered Carne asada fries and got charged over $100 on my debit card. Receipt shows $13.00 but my bank account showed that Santanas charged me over $100. And when I called them on the phone to confront them they hung up on me and didn’t care. Very disappointing.
Best Santana’s location I’ve eaten at! Close to my office, so we eat here often. Love the rolled tacos, always very fresh, and they even have an option where you can get them served “drowned” in avocado green salsa - delicious both ways! The food is always fresh and never too greasy like Mexican food can sometimes be - I don’t know how they do it, but I’m thankful for the people who work at this location for making the food delicious every time.
This restaurant is one of the few Mexican restaurants that have Caldos de res!!!!! I went to Three different taco shops/ restaurants and none of them had caldo de res!! This one did!!

This has to be the slowest Drive-thru in all of San Diego. We have been here 5 times, on different days, and every single time we have to wait at least 30-45 minutes. And the lady (overweight, late 50s) there always has an attitude when they get the order wrong and we complain. This is the last time we go there. The El Cajon Santanas for example, we're done in 5-10 minutes and they correct the order no attitude.
These guys are the Best. They know what I want when they hear my voice on the drive thru speaker. It's the Customer Service and cleanliness of the facility that does it for me!
Waaaay over priced. Food was decent nothing special. No way worth the price. Almost $6 for a bean tostada???
