UpdateI ordered Walnut Shrimp and Wonton SoupThe Walnut Shrimp and soup was excellent.Definitely found our new Chinese restaurant.Next we're going to try the Moo Go Gai Pan, spareribs or sweet and sour porkWe've been trying to find good Chinese food in Clairemont ever since Panda Country on Clmt Mese Blvd closed due to covid. We've been going there for 30+ years. So today we thought we'd try this one in Santee. We got Kung Pao San Yan, not spicy and wonton soup for later. The flavor was pretty good, but way too sweet for Kung Pao. The chicken and shrimp were cooked well, but the beef was tough and chewy, not tender at all. Glad we didn't order Mongolian beef. That would have been a nightmare to try and chew. The wonton soup was excellent and so were the crunchies that go with it.We give it a 8/10 compared to to our original restaurant. Probably try one more time before continuing our search
Customer service is ok but food is hit and miss sometimes. They do have good soup! Just wish food portions were more for the price.
They have very good portions, enough to serve multiple people at a reasonable price. Their BBQ pork is great.
Looked they had nice food and nice place to eat but I waited over 40 minutes in their lobby for my customer’s door dash order and they told me to cancel because it would be another 45 minutes. Door Dash gave me $6 for nearly an hour of work, thanks!
First time I’ve eaten here in 2.5 years. I know of the new management, but, I didn’t think it would be this bad. Sweet and sour was horrible, the chicken was mush under all the dough. The salt n pepper wings were over cooked and covered in overcooked onions and Chile. It was expensive and I will never go back.
Very kind, lovely aesthetic! On top of everything! And omg the food bro, the foooood. Amazing.
I have been ordering for years ....20+ from panda country food is always good quality. But I have to say it's not as good as it used to be. Overall recommend giving it a shot though.
Friendly staff, quick order placement-hand off. This was my first time ever coming to LnL BBQ, I can for sure say that it's worth the ride over!
I love this restraunt.House special chicken has been my favorite food forever! They have adjusted the recipe twice over the years, but it's still excellent. It's always clean, the food comes quickly, the decor is great, and the portions are very large. Its more expensive than most other food but pretty similar price to most Chinese restraunts. This location is better than the one in Clairmont, which uses slightly different recipes.
If you do delivery apps, do not accept orders from Panda Country. They will make you wait a dramatic amount of time past the delivery pick up time and will not be honest about your wait time. Your wait time could be over 30 mins before you realize they might not be making it at all and unassign. They are sometimes not very friendly either. I I have eaten here a couple of times, but not again if this is how they treat their gig customers and drivers. Restraunts need to remember that gig drivers represent their actual customer and are potential customers themselves.
