Although it's situated right in a big shopping area this place is easily overlooked. Been shopping in that area for a really long time and never knew it was there.Price is around $20 per meal, but you get a lot of food.Food was delicious and great quantity.Staff is on point and worth ever star. Kaelyn was super helpful and handled a large party with a lot of rambunctious kids really well. She is one of the best staff I have met in all of my reviews of restaurants.
I've always loved this place. It's an old favorite. Went here for my birthday. My server encouraged me to get the bottle of wine instead of the mixed drinks. I only drank 2 glasses so I got to take the rest of the bottle home for later. The chicken gnocchi waa excellent. I got a complimentary dessert and a couple servers sang me happy birthday along with my family.
We took our sister and her husband to dinner at Olive Garden, Santee on a Wednesday afternoon. Natasha was our server and answered all our questions. She very attentive to our Soup and Salad reorders, serving everything up with a beautiful smile. As usual, the soup was delicious and the bread sticks were tasty. The salad was great and we also enjoy the treat of shredded Parmesan cheese. We will be back soon, hopefully with Natasha as our server again.
Just a short, to-the-point critique. DON'T order the soup as a meal on To-Go orders! It ends up being the same size as the side soup! Even though you can dine in and get all you want of the soup, salad and breadsticks, you get a small bowl of soup for $7.80! To make it worse, I called and the lady on the phone tells me that I should have ordered a full meal. "It's a better value..." YA THINK?!Great soup and meal, overall. But I wanted more of that killer soup!
Very busy for lunch but bartender handle it great even though she had some tables. Food was served hot salad with serve crisp and just like I requested.
The service was great as the waitress was constantly checking on our table. The food starting with the appetizer to the entrees was delicious. Definitely will be back to this branch of Olive Garden.
Olive Garden as a chain has always been extremely good to me, especially their service. However, in visiting this location twice now, I have received surprisingly horrible service both times. The first time was a couple of years ago, this lovely young woman spilled all of our drinks on to us and our table by mistake. I say lovely with total honesty, she was very kind but needed more training and guidance from her team. When she spilled the drinks, no one came to assist her, to lessen the emotions of the table covered in drinks, her managers left her to "fend for her self" if you must say.The second time visiting this past week was the worst experience of the two. We were told our table was ready, was seated, and didn't have one waitress come to our table for 30 minutes. We were able to flag one down and tell them our situation. She got a waitress sent to our table, the manager also made an appearance and apologized, offering a free appetizer. However, even after this, none of the table was refilled on their bottomless meal options and we weren't refunded for paying extra for these options but only receiving one portion, our drinks were never refilled, we waiting 20 minutes for our wine, and we rarely saw our waitress. To conclude, in total honesty this location needs some better training, more guidance, and overall an upgrade in their customer service and team.
Stopped in for lunch. Fast, friendly service. Crisp cold salad not drowned in dressing, hot delicious chicken/gnocchi soup with garlic bread sticks always yummy, and spaghetti and meatballs were great. $5 to-go entree deal a plus. Don't forget the chocolate cake!
A little upset with their menu selection since Covid started. (From maybe 4 pages of pictures and variety to one page) Everything is chicken or shrimp except for one steak and one salmon entree. Portions got smaller and less... grand(entrees usually have one side instead of the regular restaurant which serve 2) That's not really the complaint... I don't mind it because they fill you up with soups, breadsticks and salad for each entree. The con is actually the prices are more expensive for each entree. The cheapest meal of a chicken piece and a 1/2 cup of pasta is 19 bucks (a not so gluttonous family of 3 totalled to over 120 bucks with just sodas and entrees)The pro is if it's just a couple or a couple and a baby- you can split an (average)$22 entree which comes with free unlimited soups and/or salads plus 2 of their $4 drinks will put you in a $40 nice dinner date(included is the tax and tips!)During my visits, I always have the nicest servers and most are really well with making sure you know your food is coming out soon. Great service!
We placed a catering order for 'Create your own Pasta Station' for the Christmas lunch we organized for our Instructors. Our entire team of instructors was very happy. The pros:- Food for more than 10 people- Came with chafing dishes , paper supplies and silverware- Awesome tasting food-Very nice employees who dropped the food at out center location. No cons :). You are doing a great job. We are blessed to have such an awesome restaurant that is being run so efficiently, in Santee.
