Is it only me? Or do you remember paying $3.50 for a carne asada burrito?! What in the tarnation. Ten bucks. You're kidding me. And I ordered it. Along with a shrimp taco. And it was pipin' hot and good. Even after reheated, the meat did not toughen.Is anyone else getting pay raises these days the same way everything else is increasing? Who would have thought I have to work 2 hours overtime to eat at a taco shop.Plenty of parking. Located near the 125. And next to 7-11 where you can purchase a 99 cent big gulp.Food 5 stars, prices meh. Actually 3.5 stars
My grandson and I have been eating at Cotijas Santee for over 23 years and our experience has always been good. The food is delicious and surprisingly they still serve the same good size food portions as before and have not down sized or changed/altered ingredients unlike other fast food restaurants. The inside and out of the restaurant is always clean. The service is always with a friendly smile and that makes us want to come back even more. ?

They have done a lot of good changes. Been years since I was last there and the food was good as always. Indoor dining or take away available.
Every time I'm back in town I guy here multiple times. One of the best Mexican spots anywhere. Guys working there are cool, too. Friendly and fast. I love this place so much.
Best tacos I’ve ever had!
Amazing burrito. Had the El Grande. Flavorful and the added fries were minimal rather than a French fry burrito like other places. Another person ordered the Amazing quesadilla and carne asada burrito. A must try place.
We wanted to try one more local place before we hit the road back to Arizona and we saw this on our way to get gas! The food that we ordered was delicious! From the chips that were served hot, to the huge breakfast burrito with steak to the shrimp taco and finally to crispy steak tacos! It was all pretty darn delicious!
Beware!! This restaurant LIES about having a vegetarian burrito!! The beans have LARD in them and they sell it to vegetarians that trust them to be honest. Eat what you want but don’t LIE to others
