This place is very welcoming. It has plenty of seating inside and outside. The hostess was very pleasant. We ordered takeout. We both had burritos one super carnitas everything on it and one regular grilled chicken, no sour cream, whole beans and rice. The restaurant was busy, we waited for about 15 minutes which was expected. The burritos were cooked and prepared to perfection. Thank you to your chef for a wonderful meal.
Still a top 5 source of authentic Mexican chow. Hasn't missed a beat over the past 5 years.
Molcajetes lives up to its slogan, a window to the flavors of Mexico! Ive tried many dishes and am always impressed with their recipes
I love this place and have been coming here 1-2x/week for a couple of years now. Unfortunately the quality has really gone down hill. I always order weekdays lunchtime to go. Within the last 2 months I have experienced:- caldo de res with hardly any veggies, just meat- al pastor combo plate with stale meat- Stale chile rellenos - twice!- Overcooked, almost burnt carnitas- caldo de res and they forgot the minced onion/cilantro toppings- tacos 'con todo' and the onion topping is old/not freshI personally spoke to the manager and was completey blown off. I will no longer give them my money.
There are Mexican restaurants every few blocks in Santa Rosa, so there are a LOT to compare this one to. I have friends that LOVE this place. I don't understand why. We've ordered take out from here several times, and each time I have not liked my food. They put very little meat in their dishes, and instead load up on brocolli. (Funny thing is, I LIKE brocolli. Just not in these dishes.) The flavors just don't remind me of Mexico. In fact, the food is quite bland. Yes, the portions are large, but I judge my food by how it tastes. The food here just doesn't taste good. We won't be trying it again.
Food is good, good people place is nice n clean I know the owner I know how the started their successful business I hope they stay humble..all the best guys.
Great service and better than average taste. A bit small so sometimes seating can be tough but just take it home instead. Well worth it.
Yeah. It's that good. Don't question. Just go.
When you pull into the strip mall to find this place, you'll notice the steady stream of traffic going in and out of TaqMo. That's because this taqueria with table service really delivers on authentic taste. From the chips to the aguas frescas, everything is fresh, including amazing salsas and tortillas. We shared a Molcjetas Carne which came with rice and beans and some guac and crema. It was a huge bubbling cauldron of delicious meats and cactus and young onions. The chicken burrito was enormous. The plain quesadilla had fresh made tortillas. I will come back again and again.
One of the best Molcajete I've ever had. I live in L.A. and I will fly to Santa Rosa just to eat there.
