One of my favorite places to get something quick to eat after work when I too lazy to cook.
I love this restaurent very much! No reason to give under 5 stars because their teriyaki chicken, fried dumplings,... so delicious! And the important, those people don't look like can spit into your meal(some pelple can do it who told me they did), they look like very loyal and honest! When I bought extra meal for a homeless who pick up gabarge outside, they gave me a eyes of approval so I knew that!
This place deserves more attention than the Panda Express stores in the town, it's basically the same price maybe like 20 cents more expensive and tastes a heck of a lot better than Panda Express, plus it's basically the same style of restaurant as Panda, it might take more time sometimes if they're out of a dish but it's way better and the customer service is great and the food is much more authentic than Panda. I love going in there, it's my 2nd time going and I approve of this restaurant. I hope they stay open forever. Merry Christmas.
Being a transplant from San Francisco, I'm quite picky about Chinese food. I've never been a take-out gal, but with the pandemic, I gave Silver Moon a try a few months ago, and I now go weekly. Their noodles are good, and I love their curry chicken (goes really well with rice). You can also order things that aren't at the hot table if you don't mind to wait a bit or call in. I have ordered Singapore Noodles (curry thin rice noodles with BBQ pork) a few times, and also tried their pan-fried flat rice noodles (you can ask for shrimp, beef, or chicken). Both really good. The portion is big enough for me to have leftovers for the next day. And they have GREAT shrimp dumplings. Even better than what I get at take out places in San Francisco (partly why I don't usually like take-out!). They also have steamed buns, but I haven't tried them, since I prefer baked buns (only available on Saturday -- I usually get the custard ones). Oh, they also have sesame balls. If like the custard ones, but I think they also have them with red beans.
Delicious food. Every single item on the menu is tasty. I can go in and just order whatever is already made, and I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve tried tofu many times in my life too and Silver Moon’s is the only one I’ve ever liked.
The service was awful. First I had to stand at the front of the restaurant for about 25-30 minutes before anyone even came to talk to me, that should’ve been my cue to leave but I was hungry and there is not a lot of other food options in the area. Finally I get my seat, the one fellow who wasn’t even my server got me a beer and some chips. The server finally came over after about another 15 minutes and I placed my order. It took over an hour to get my food. And I didn’t even see my waitress the whole time. I had to walk up to the front to get another beer because I had been just sitting there with an empty beer for about half an hour already. I finally got my food after an hour and it was just par. It wasn’t even that great, I could probably make better at home. Definitely not worth the way. They are not even overly busy. I’m not sure if they were just understaffed or if the staff they have is just slow. Either way maybe they should hire new people. If you’re in a hurry, don’t come here
The best food in all of Sonoma county. I wish they were open 7 days a week and open early.
