As I entered I was quickly greeted and sat and a neatly set table, the waitress was very kind and quickly brought us drinks. Our food came in a very timely manner and it’s was cooked WELL. I’m a big fan of corned beef for breakfast so I like to try it everywhere. You can tell it’s cooked fresh here and not from a can. As we were eating she was attentive and brought us the check before we were done. The reason I mention this is because I love being able to pay prior to being finished eating. I think it’s so convenient to be done with the bill and then be able to just get up and go versus waiting around for the bill. I really enjoyed this restaurant and I think the run it very well.
Just absolutely delightful staff serving enormous sandwiches and salads. My only complaint is too many of you like it so there's a line to be seated whenever I go! Good problems to have I guess.
We had eggs Benedict and the poached eggs were done perfectly! Attentive and friendly waitress too. Great location - we walked to from our hotel
Busy little place, often has a wait list, but well worth the wait.Big portions and I particularly loved the Reuben. Fries and hash browns are excellent too.

My wife, Joni, had been to Mac's before and told me it was "good" and we should stop in for lunch.What she didn't mention was that Mac's was an OUTSTANDING deli!From the outside, it appears as a little hole-in-wall. Well, it is.Inside, it was clean, bright, friendly(!) staff, and *great* food!We went at lunchtime and the place was packed with locals! Business people and neighbors alike. Darn it, they wanted great food(!).We waited about 7 minutes for a counter seat. Gosh, we could see all the action! Lots of fun!I had a grilled pastrami (for a little crispiness) with sweet potato fries which we shared. Joni also had pastrami, heated, but not grilled. Both were delicious and tender!Owner Lisa, was a server among several others and stopped by to say hi, while hubby, Toraj (spelling?), handled the chef duties in the kitchen. They make a fine team!Lunch was excellent. My only regret I didn't have enough room for breakfast! Yes, they serve that too! All day.
I have been going to this restaurant for 28 years. The service and the food has always been TOPS. Large menu, great food, fabulous service.
My mom and I went here today for breakfast. It was so good! We both had yummy omelettes. I had a veggie one with ham added and she had the spinach, cheese one. Definitely going back
Mac's is the heart of Santa Rosa!My sister took me here for lunch. she was craving the egg salad sandwich and the potato salad.. that she doubled up on and took home. I of course had the half soup/ half salad. That filled me up! their portions are ginormous! The food is absolutely to die for..... Each bite is mouth watering and you just can't put it down!( you just can't.) Even my raspberry tea was perfect! the service was impeccable. Located right downtown and right next to a parking lot... you can't beat it. Perfect location!
Not coming back only because of the SMELL! Staff was great and food was good too! Lastly homeless people were coming and going into the bathroom. Environment definitely brings this place down.
