I really like the cupcakes here. The frosting isn't too sweet and the cake part is very soft. I actually wish the frosting was a little sweeter and thicker. I prefer the vanilla cupcakes over the chocolate cupcakes. The price isn't outrageous like some of the other places either so it's not a bar choice.
The girl at the counter was super friendly and they have gluten-free and vegan options.I got vegan cupcakes and they were pricey but totally exceptional. It's not easy to find vegan cupcakes around here so it was a pleasant surprise to run into this cute little bakery!
We bought a vanilla cream cake for our wedding! The guests loved the cake, and so did we!! They also accommodated to my mom who has every allergy under the sun. They were fantastic!!

We visit the Vanilla Bake Shop every year in November when we drive down from San Francisco for our annual karate seminar in Santa Monica. When we bring other students, we also bring them, they LOVE every little dessert.
We had such a great experience with Vanilla Bake Shop. My in-laws wanted a cake that was similar to their wedding cake for their 50th anniversary. Mia was very helpful on the phone, helping us figure out the best way to get this cake made, given that our photos were very grainy. We were able to find a picture online of a cake we wanted the bakery to make, and they did a beautiful job reproducing it! We picked up the cake today, and Mia packaged it very nicely for us. We got to enjoy the cake this evening, and everyone couldn’t stop talking about how delicious it was. Thanks for helping make the occasion so special!
We had a variety of three copcakes. They were reasonably good. Frosting was light and fluffy on all three - not rich or creamy. Cakes were fresh. At $3.95 each, they seemed on the small side and weren't spectacular in any way. The shop itself is small with attentive staff.
This bakery goes above and beyond every time I call in from 3000 miles away to accommodate our special requests for family we have in California!! Helpful, friendly service. We ordered a variety of delicious wedding cake samples for pickup on a Saturday morning. They were running a bit behind and asked for a few extra minutes to put them together.The selection of other baked goods looked amazing, and I got an Everything Cookie (which was delicious) and a drip coffee, which was well balanced and given to me for free as an apology for asking me to wait.The products are tasty. The service was friendly. The prices are reasonable. I will definitely be back!
I love this place!I get all of my friends birthday cakes and most recently my wedding cake.Always beautiful and DELICIOUS. Friendly staff and amazing cake pops.
