Enjoyable, lively spot. Excellent service, delicious food. A bit overpriced.

I read some poor reviews indicating that the service was slow and the food not worth the price. Our service on a Saturday night was excellent and the food was very good, worth the cost. That said, most of the guests were eating in the converted parking area and we chose not to eat out there because it did not look all that nice. And the interior needs some sprucing up. What was a real turnoff was the $15 parking charge; seriously?!

Outdoor dining at its best. Loved the service and food quality too

Waited 45 minutes for drinks, an hour and 10 minutes for apps and 90 minutes for entrees which were cold and dry when they came out. Water was refilled once. The manager apologized but it seemed like a joke to her and to her staff. At least 3 other tables near us lodged identical complaints. We have eaten at this and other restaurants owned by the same restaurant group for years. We were truly shocked by the level of service and food quality.

Terrible horrible service, bad attitudes and rude across every interaction. And we usually love this groups restaurants and food. Was so strange.

I had been here a few times and was always pretty happy with the service and value. This past time neither were satisfactory. Food was average, prices ridiculous for what we got and they seem to be understaffed. Not sure I will return here again.

First time eating here last night, and it was a truly great experience. We had a few things from the happy hour menu (which was great) and some mains as well. Cocktails were delicious. Service prompt and on point. Not only that, every time we ordered something it came out seemingly instantaneously, even when we forgot to order a side of beans with our meal, it came out a mere two minutes later. Ambience inside is clean, warm, and welcoming. Will definitely be coming back, had an amazing time.

I'm done with Tallulla's. Too expensive. Food is decent, but not special. Shrimp was undercooked. Service was slow. Waited 20 min after asking for check, finally had to flag another waiter.

Tallula’s has gotten to the point where their prices are gouging (even for our westside neighborhood). The recent menu adjustments and pacing of the dishes are all to increase the restaurant’s margins and it is very transparent. The food is great, but walking away one feels fleeced by the amount received for the amount given. Need an example? $8 street tacos.. this is insulting. Let me be clear: the food and beverages are tasty. The staff, very friendly! It’s all, just not worth it. The prices of sides, dishes, and beverages are simply exploitative.

Tallula’s provided me with the worst service I have ever experienced in the US. When we arrived we were told that there were no tables available outside, despite having reserved one. We were offered a sofa but when we explained that we really wanted to eat dinner at an actual table we were seated inside (even though the hostess seemed reluctant to do this and had to check that this was permissible). Our server approached us almost immediately and took our order. The appetizers (guacamole and pickled veg) arrived swiftly and we were already finished them before our cocktails appeared. Then we waited for our main course (tacos, rice and a clam bowl) for well over an hour before anyone checked on us or even offered us more water. We considered leaving (with it being a Tuesday night and expecting a quick easy dinner) but finally our server chased the kitchen and the food eventually arrived 15 minutes thereafter. At no point did any manager approach us to apologize, or even offer us complimentary drinks for the inconvenience of having to wait about 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food. The food itself was okay (it would have had to been the best food we had ever tasted to make the wait in any way acceptable). It was unexceptional and overpriced especially considering the heinous service. At this point most decent establishments would have comped the entire meal. I would also note that contrary to the menu on Open Table there did not seem to be any Taco Tuesday specials or happy hour (or we certainly were not offered it). We won’t be back and I don’t recommend it. We left feeling disrespected and robbed. My husband will never trust me to pick a dinner spot in LA again!
