Really delicious, unique fillings for omusubi! Loved the miso beef and the pork curry fillings especially. My only qualm is for ~$5 each they are quite small. We only stopped by for a snack, but I’d need 4 for a meal

Okay, this may have been one of my favorite food experiences lately! If you like sushi then you should give this a try for sure. The salmon was perfection and the curry was amazing! Such a fun place, will be back if we get the chance.

Absolutely amazing and delicious food.. I can eat this every day A burst of flavours in the mouth!!!

Extremely disrespectful waiters.. My friends and I left a bar, ordered 4 miso soups and about 10 hand rolls, about 15 minutes after we ordered the waiter asked us if we had a reservation , we said “no” but we explained that had just ordered a couple of things, she went back inside and a waiter with a beard came up to us and said “did you guys not notice that we are a restaurant or what?” And made us leave Will never go back because of this experience..

Sunny Blue is a popular Japanese omusubi shop. There's no indoor seating; so it's intended as a location for to-go orders, kind of like your standard street food stand, but structured better.Things you should know;I. LOCATIONIf you're walking along the beach, this is a couple street back. It's on main street. The surrounding area isn't touristy, but more private and local.II. SERVICENo complaints ~ they do their best to be efficient. There's no indoor seating and no outdoor seating set up either, so we walked towards the ocean and ate our omusubi on a grass hill ~ it was a pleasant unplanned picnicIII. QUALITYFresh ~ we enjoyed the unique menu options and the descriptions with cute pictures were helpful. Out of the 4 flavors we tried, we both enjoyed the Kara Tuna the most.IV. CAPACITYFor a Tuesday, at peak lunch hours, the line outside exploded. We waited about 10 minutes to order and then 20 minutes for our food to be ready. By the time we got our food, the lunch rush died down significantly.

Really yummy! First time here, no seating though indoors or outdoors which was a bummer but we just ate as we walked down the street so it was fine. Decent prices, good food!

Check this place out if you’re looking for a quick bite and delicious bite in Santa Monica.Their onigiri are sooo good!! I always stop by to get tuna mayo/spicy salmon when I’m in Santa Monica areaTip: when placing an order, ask for extra filling!!!!

Very tasty and fresh Omusubi! Price is fair and service is nice!

Fresh handmade omusubi. If more filling can be added that would be better.

Very yummy Japanese street food - freshly made
