We were In Los Angeles visiting our son who has just moved out here for a job. The Celtics were playing the Heat in game seven of the eastern conference championships. A googled best sports bar for Boston fans in Los Angeles and Sonny Mcleans Was on the top of every list. The game was at 5:45 Pacific time. We got to the place at 4:15. We started with drinks and appetizers and they were terrific. The place has a great beer list with many excellent brews on tap. For appetizers we had a giant pretzel, buffalo chicken bites, and chips and guacamole and everything was excellent. My wife who loves margaritas and said they were great. The place started filling up with Boston fans a little bit before five and it was amazing how green the room was and how nice all the people were to one another. A little bit before game time we were ordered dinner. Pizza and burgers were terrific and delicious. This is not junky bar food by any stretch. Excellent ingredients and very well prepared by a chef or kitchen staff who cares about the food as much as the park cares about drinks. We had a great time especially because the Celtics won. I rhink any sports fan will love this place if they are in Santa Monica or close by in Los Angeles. I especially suggest this place to any sports fan from New England. Food and drink gets an A+ as does the atmosphere and the effort shown by the staff.
3 dart boards and you don’t have to ask for the darts! Drinks are ok. I only ordered food once (salad with chicken) and it was truly terrible. Giant pieces of wet lettuce with some shredded prepackaged carrots sprinkled on top and tasteless dressing.
Hate Boston teams with every fiber of my being, but this place is *STILL* 5 stars because of the chill vibe, the other sports options on a given day, good food and really cool staff. It truly pains me to support Boston cheater/deflate-tangent factions in any way but I will do it here because if anyone deserves it they do (be warned the mural is triggering af)

I started going to the pub to see friends, but things have changed. The food is just OK and lately the bartenders misunderstand the orders and they give larger portions than ordered. When I spoke to the owner, the problem was not the bartender and the bartenders are increasing orders together bigger tips. I have decided to do 2btgings because the owners don't care and said so. #1. I'm reducing the number of times I go per week to once a month. It won't have a major impact for one person, but if others follow it will. Second, I'm tipping for swevice, not the bill. If they bring me what I order and treat me right, I'll gladly pay 20%. If they order larger portions I don't ask for, etc I'm going to tip least. The sum of my bill will not be 15%...it might be 5% or it might be 25%. My tips won't be based on the bill total. . The food here is marginal I ordered corn beef and cabbage on St. PATRICK'S day. I have no clue what I ate, but it was awful. Maybe when my tips reflect my thoughts things will change. Obviously my business I'd not appreciated
St Patty's Day and a full house for lunch. Fish and chips in alight batter with peas and steak fries accompanied by Smog City beer. Great live music and friendly crowd.
As someone born & raised in Boston, it was so nostalgic to find this restaurant owned by the same, brought me right back! The atmosphere was great, sports on the TV, decorations of sports legends through the years and great food. Though the menu boasts a wonderful selection of Irish fare, there are also some New England specialties like Lobstah Rolls and fried clams (but only with bellies). Real neighborhood pub type atmosphere and great service!

Thanks for being open on Christmas Day :) we are football fans and craft beer lovers. Going here is like hitting two birds with one stone. Lots of TV's! We were able to get at least one decent IPA and one good stout. They were so busy but our food came in a timely manner. I wasn't that impressed with my order of Curry with forbidden rice but my husband finished his veggie burger. Excellent customer service though ?
