I honestly wish I could give a 4.5 but it doesn’t deserve 5 stars. Damn close but not quite. The Michelin is deserving based on the chefs service and precision.I’ve had several omakase’s, and this starts with a unique journey through 5 appetizers featuring some of japans more interesting oddities of the sea.The 14 piece omakase is what followed and would just say it was a 9/10. Just No specific piece wowed either of us. Solid nonetheless, but there’s some phenomenal Sushi in LA.Kind of a letdown with a $300 per person price point.
One of the best sushi in town! Shunji San has been around LA for a long time. I love his traditional edomae style sushi with some creativity in the dishes. Definitely worth the visit!

The prices are higher than in sushi restaurants of the same quality. The service could be better, but that is a point of concern every time.

This is my second time here. Consistent quality and variety of fresh fish. Their otsumami were good choices. Shari was also good quality of temp and red vinegar. I can recommemd to my sushi enthusiatic friends. Happy to be here again
Very clean and welcoming restaurant. They provide large meals and for inexpensive prices. I loved the meals a lot and the staff were very personal and informative. Will definitely recommend this place.
I admire this place! They give marvelous dishes, their menu is varied, The chief cook in that restaurant is a real authority in the kitchen, I like a lot eating all their food. The food is consistently fresh, the service towards the customers is efficient. I visit often this restaurant and I was never discontended. Highly recommended.
Last week was our first time we came to that magnificent restaurant. But It is obviously not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the good service, with the magnificent food and fine drinks and with the friendly charge. We will surely return there in a short time.
Outstanding place for delicious japanese food. Service is always excellent even when they have a full house. I look forward to going back again. The bill was well within reason for the quality.
