Best vegan thai restaurant in Los Angeles. Amazing plant based thai dishes that will make you feel like you are visiting a distant land. The owners are super nice and the service is always great! Some of the best green curry and pad Thai I have ever eaten and they have a Mung bean vermicelli with peanut sauce that is insane. The croquettes, endive cups and jackfruit pâté make for great vegan appetizers. Of course the sweet and spice papaya salad is a must with any dish.
I have been an advocate of eating out to support local restaurants whenever possible, in the last 2 years. I'll not be back to Satdha even though I love the food and have been a regular visitor previously. Is it laziness? Blatant cost cutting? Or just terrible leadership? They have turned a lovely casual restaurant with great food into a poor canteen. Line up at the door, mill around the small reception area while everyone scans the QR code and decides what to order, all order from one register, Pick up a flag with a number and wait for the food to arrive on small paper plates with plastic cutlery and serviettes. I'm not paying restaurant prices for this level of appalling service. I feel taken advantage of. I cant take guests or visitors into this place any more and it used to be a destination for veggie guests. Shame
Friendly place with excellent plant-based Thai food. We really enjoyed our food and experience.
I had the mussaman curry; it is quite underwhelming in terms of portion size and unremarkable in flavor. You also have to get rice separately. Again in a tiny portion and much too sticky.I wish i could at least speak well of the customer service, but it was reminiscent of a Roomba.
Extremely poor customer service. The sticky rice dessert was stuck to a piece of paper that it was served in and I addressed it to the manager who said I almost ate everything and told her. Well, the last big chunk had paper sticking and I should eat it? Terrible response from the manager. She told me I wasn't reasonable and didn't even apologize, nor did she offer a replacement for the dessert. Any other American restaurant would have offered a replacement and better customer service.
Overpriced and mediocre quality. We ordered grilled mushrooms which came old cold. Further, I could barely find a mushroom among the salad.Portion sizes for main dishes were tiny considering the price we paid and the food was bland.
What a delightful restaurant. It was a delight to find a plant-based place in Santa Monica. The food was delicious! Will definitely come back.

Fine. Fairly bland, but vegans love that sort of flavor so it’s all good. Not greasy. Ingredients seem fresh. Fine.
Really enjoyed the wide variety of dishes. The eggplant "catfish" I think was my favourite. The jackfruit was also a great item for someone who doesn't frequent the vegan space often, if ever. The food is definitely an experience that I would come back for, but...I couldn't quite get over the fact that absolutely every service item was disposable. Disposable is still worse for the environment any way you slice it - doesn't matter if you call it compostable.Asides from detracting from the ambiance which is already fairly sparse it really bugs me to see unnecessary waste.
