The food was amazing per usual! Our âgo toâ Red O is Newport Beach but we were In the area so we ended up at Red O Santa Monica. Food was delicious per usual. Service was a different story. We have NEVER experienced bad or mediocre service at Red O, EVER! I expect the best service along with the best food with those prices. We truly enjoy to wine & dine, per my Open Table Account. To date, I have never given a bad review, however, This service was terrible. There was no emotion, good or bad, in a waitress at Red O Santa Monica. She was just there. We had to wave her down for service or simply spent our time asking for help from other waiters & busboys who worked harder and more efficiently than our waitress. I was truly disappointed by my experience at Red O Santa Monica. There is no doubt that we would have consumed more if our waitress would have been more attentive and acted accordingly with her customers/tables. I wish Red O Santa Monica the best, but I will stick to my usual, Red O Newport Beach. I do have to say, Red O, whether Newport Beach or Santa Monica, should be CONSISTENT. I blame management, over all.
Order the dessert spread. We got the tres leches, churros and chocolate lava cake. It was phenomenal.
Decent size servings and tasty food. We ordered shrimp ceviche and surf and turf burrito bowls. Also ordered the cucumber margherita pitchers which were pricy BUT you got about 4 - 5 drinks per person and there were two of us. Not a bad deal but if you plan to get your drink on. Great for bigger parties for sure. Very nice ambiance. Service was good. Would definitely go back

Menu seems limited from what I remember Back in West Hollywood Location Rick Bayless must not be part of it anymore Food is ok, Very overpriced Donât Mind spending The money if it was unique and innovative While giving Mexican Food the respect it deserves
Have been here many times. The food is consistently fabulous and I love all the non-traditional Mexican food options on the menu such as the many seafood dishes. Menu great, service very good and good value. Will definitely be back.
