Did not book which was a mistake, however we only ended up waiting 20 minutes after they told us a hour wait. We had a booth and our server was nice. The restaurant had a nice ambiance. Diverse menu - although small we did not struggle to find things we liked. Rotating special sandwich. We had beef ribs, chicken sandwich and Asian noodle salad. All very good with decent portion sizes - 2 people shared the noodle salad and it was perfect. The coleslaw on the side of the beef ribs was good. 3 desserts were perfect for 4 people to share - we had the carrot cake, chocolate chip cookies and banana cream pie. Carrot cake was super good but big (not really a negative!) Banana cream pie was slightly disappointing - had lots of dark chocolate and caramel on it which distracted from the pie itself.
Great lunch and dinner gastropub-esque place. The menu is small but everything is prepared well with high-quality ingredients. For Montana Ave, it's not especially pricey and the wait staff is very pleasant and professional. Worth a visit.
Nice place. Good food and service. The beef ribs are delicious, the cheeseburger was okay ! The place was crowded but we were seated right away (two people).
Love this place. I’ve been going here for years and the food and service never disappoints. They were great through the mask mandates and their service to the community of SM never wavered. Bonus? They’re dog friendly. Make sure you go Wednesdays or Thursdays for their Reuben-esque, and never skip the carrot cake.
Everyone should try the CHICKEN MEATBALL! The combination of three types of sauces - cream, cheese or mustard(not sure), barbeque - and the chicken meatballs were exceptional. Their cheese burger was also amazing thanks to perfectly cooked medium-rare patty and fresh veggies. The portion of the burger was huge enough to share. Considering the portion, they aren't overpriced. On top of that, their ambience was great, and service was decent. I highly recommend this place both for a date night and family gathering.Additional information: it wasn't that hard to find street parking on Saturday night. As it is a popular restaurant, we had to wait 40 mins on Saturday night around 6:30pm. Having said that, it's worth waiting!
One of my favorite spots! Great food choices, spirits and ambiance
Fabulous location, excellent service and remarkable food. Mushroom meatloaf tender, juicy and flavourful. Thanks Chef Myron for the recommendation!!
We had dinner here last night, they do not accept reservations but we arrived and they kindly put us on the wait list. Said it would take about 25 minutes and they would send a text (we went for a walk) they contacted us very soon, we were happy. However, the entrance and the bar area were insanely crowded, there should be a control of how many people they let in. The service was excellent our waiter Austin was amazing, they paid attention to everything needed, refilling water, bringing cutlery immediately, no complaint about it. About the food, the wild mushroom was absolutely delicious, the potato Puree amazing, creamed corn was ok. The crispy chicken was not outstanding at all and the fries, some were hard as a rock and others not fried even. Martini was excellent just as my husband ordered it, Kettle one, extra dirty, 3 olives. The place was cold and almost uncomfortable, people zipping up their coats. How can it be this cold inside a restaurant? Would I go back? No.
Very good meal. We all had something different but we all said each meal was very good! Will return! Thank you!
Best chicken sandwich in town. Solid and consistent quality and great service. Hamburger is amazing, salad s are creative. Perfect lunch in Santa Monica's neighborhood-feel Montana Ave with a NYC feel atmosphere. Well-done.
