The birria burrito was so good! The consomé was hot! And the burrito was cheesy and well balanced plus the sauce had a nice kick to it. We also tried the churros, it took a little time for us to get them but you could tell they were made fresh. I would definitely come back here when in the area.
Awesome biria tacos and quesadilla. I visited this place when I was in LA. I went to this place 4 times in 3 days. Just good food and best of all its halal.
Open, airy, intimate restaurant. The wall art is great and colorful! Very beachy vibe!! The food is delicious!! We had the chicken quesadilla, the papi plate, and the ramen bowl with cheese. OMG! The flavors were very different for each dish and absolutely pleasurable!! ??

the best tacos i’ve ever had (i ordered a birria OG plate with avocado)crispy, juicy, tender meat with amazing depth of flavor. eat it fresh to experience a truly perfect mealthe chicken here is zabiha halal which was great for my family. the smoke flavor on the chicken was unreal. i had it in an OG burritoyou won’t regret having some churros after too. perfectly crispy with a fluffy melt in your mouth interioroverall a 15/10 meal. will be back weekly
Was excited when I saw that papi tacos was opening a location in Santa Monica! I was an OG going to their Jefferson location when they first opened their location. Sad that it hasn’t opened yet but this location is awesome because of the big mural and indoor/ outdoor seating!
I was in the area not expecting much, and in the mood for a burrito……wow, the tortillas was bomb, the chicken beans and rice worked well together! There was a hot sauce on the side that was amazing. I also had some churros…. Just what a meal… I’m coming back for sure
The best birria hands down in Los angels there's only one thing better than their tacos and it's their quesadillas so crispy on the outside and juicy inside as soon as you bite in to it the flavors explode in your mouth! The best way to wash it down is their fresh juices and to finish any proper meal you need something sweet and the churros are to die for 10/5 stars I can't get enough of this place customer service is amazing
Best tacos in Los Angeles goes to Papi Tacos & Churros. Apparently Im not the only one who thinks so, we saw many "foodies" during our visit saying the same thing. I ordered an OG plate in beef Birria and one order of the best churros I've had. My friend got a smoked chicken burrito and it was unreal. They also have a smoked jackfruit option for vegan tacos and vegan burritos which I heard from one of the customers coming back for. Personally, I'm a big fan of authentic Birria so I usually wait to go to Mexico to enjoy that, but this spot had arguably even better quality consomé and beef than I'm used to. Must be the 16 hour cook.
I’ve been in search for the best birria in SoCal and I’m convinced this place takes the win. Also the aesthetic in there is on point not to mention the friendly staff. Check it out if you’re ever in Santa Monica!
