Over all a stressful meal experience where we felt rushed bc they wanted to close the kitchen early which we were told halfway through the starters with no main orders put in.
Food was fabulous; but the street noise was at times ovepowering.
Excellent service from Jonathan. Spaghetti Neri alle vongole was delicious, clams were fresh, sauce just the right amount of spice
I love everything about this place!!
We began and ended our day at Massilia. To begin we had coffee that was very good. Later in the day we stopped back again to have drinks and appetizers. Everyone in our party enjoyed their cocktails and appetizers of calamari & cocktail meatballs in a red gravy sauce. Of course you can also have a meal at Massilia, but since we had other plans the appetizers hit the spot. The wait staff was very good. What is interesting from morning to evening Massilia has a completely different vibe from a relaxed place to have coffee to a very nice restaurant. Suggest give it a try if ever in the Santa Monica area.
The food, service and vibes were A1. The lamb shank was top tier.
Restaurant was fine but barking dog at next table was very annoying.
Very helpful waiter- the tapas size dishes were great and the main course was very good. Interesting food would definitely come back.
