Beautiful hotel, nice rooms, but ridiculously overpriced for what you get. Service is terrible! We had a water issue with our room which made it so we had to move and the staff acted like they were doing us a favor! Never even an apology from anyone -- just tried to downgrade our room with no compensation. Bartender is friendly, but all other restaurant staff were unfriendly and acted like they would rather be anywhere else. Everyone seemed to be new at the front desk and didn't really have a clue what customer service is.
We visited the hotel for 3 days earlier this year. The reviews online looked great so we gave it a try. It was not a 4 star hotel. The front desk staff was rude and the two meals we ate at the restaurant were undercooked. We asked for a balcony and the balcony was so small you couldn’t stand on it. The cleaning staff did not come clean at all. Save yourself the money and stay next door at the JW Marriott, or go down the road and stay at Marina del Ray. Santa Monica is a dump. The pier is a joke and we felt very uncomfortable walking down it. We walked down it quickly and got out of there. Never again!!!
What a great hotel! Perfect location for accessing the beach but also for quickly getting elsewhere in LA. Hotel staff and so friendly and attentive. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Can’t wait to return.
My friends and I had the best staycation here! I would especially like to thank Claire at the front desk for her incredible hospitality, Julio at the restaurant for taking great care of us during dinner, and Fernando at Valet for going above and beyond. I’ll definitely be back!
A 5-Star Experience! This was our first time staying at a Loews property. The front desk staff were amazing and created a magical experience for our family's 5 night stay. Additionally, the restaurant staff were very attentive; remembered our children and their interests, chef made wonderful creations, and items are well priced. The property is located in an incredible location overlooking the Santa Monica Beach/pier. We will be back soon!
We stayed at The Loews Hotel in June 2022. It was such a nice surprise to get a great upgrade to and ocean view which had a complete view of Santa Monica beach and the Pier. The reception staff were so kind, friendly, professional and helpful. The restaurant and bar staff were so nice and friendly. The food was fabulous. The cleaners were so efficient and our room was in pristine condition throughout our stay. Each and every one of you made our stay so wonderful. A big thank you to you all. We love you all! We look forward to seeing you next year.
Our son's wedding was held at Loews Santa Monica and the service we received was above and beyond our expectations. The wedding was originally planned months ago to be completely indoors, but with increasing Covid cases, the hotel relocated the entire wedding, from moving the reception to their outdoor beach front grass area area to moving the wedding ceremony to their garden terrace overlooking the ocean with less than 24 hours notice! This was an incredible, fast paced transition and we can't thank the amazing team at the Loew's enough for the hard work it took to make this happen. The end result was the outdoor wedding was elegant and beautiful and the hotel turned a very stressful day into one of the most happy days of our son's life! I specifically want to thank Hernan Catering Sales Manager and Concierge Extraordinaire Tavo. Their customer service was amazing! I can not say enough about the service we received. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to book a wedding!
The Loews Santa Monica was a great stay. The front desk girl Rommey was so nice. She went out of her way to make sure my stay was fantastic. She gave me a quiet room close to the elevator like I requested. She was very polite and professional. The pool staff was tentative and polite. Pool was clean and warm. Room was clean and had a great ocean view. Amenities were perfect. Restaurant was good and the hotel has a coffee shop with snacks and food all day
We had a wonderful stay at Loews over July 4th weekend. The hotel is at an amazing location! It's so walkable in that you can get to the beach, Santa Monica muscle beach & Santa Monica pier and much more within minutes. The gym at the hotel is huge and is loaded with all the latest equipment. We booked the Pacifica suite which was extremely rooming and designed beautifully with an upscale beach feel. The suite is on the top floor with 3 balconies overlooking the gorgeous Santa Monica beach. During our stay, we had amazing service all around the property at the pool, housekeeping, restaurant & valet. I wanted to especially thank Claire, the VIP manager. She gave us a call the day before arrival seeing if we had any specific needs. She had a fresh fruit & meat plate in our room upon arrival which was perfect after a long flight. And she had toys ready for the kids. She made our stay uniquely memorable and went above & beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. We have stayed at many Ritz Carlton & Four Seasons around the world and I would say Claire & the team at Loews surpass the service I have received at those brands.
Great for a family vacation or couples getaway. Great view of the beach. Nice rooms recently updated. Great pool and great food poolside. Very friendly staff. Walking distance of the beach, the pier, loads of restaurants and shopping. Only downside is no points program.
