Brilliant from start to finish
Wonderfully creative food, friendly and welcoming staff. Definitely recommended!
Disclaimer that this review is ONLY for the dessert and I have not had any of their entrées. I ordered one of their desserts to go, which they said normally they don't do, so initially I appreciated them trying to accommodate me. The hostess told me this was because they are "farm to table," however, I have no idea what that means in terms of why they don't do carry out. I asked if the strawberry cake would be easy to put in a to-go box and the hostess/manager said it would be fine. When I got the "cake," (which was miniscule) it was divided into five separate containers, totally disassembled. I literally was expected to put together the entire dessert myself, the cake layers, cream, merengue and berries lol. Please tell someone before they spend 14 dollars (!) on a dessert that they'll have to build it like a kid's science project. I assembled the dessert at home (it was my father's birthday). Not only did it look insane (I am no pastry chef), every element was inedible. I don't know how you can mess up fresh whip cream, but this tasted like chemicals/cool whip. The crowning glory on the whip cream was a piece of cilantro. Not mint. Cilantro. The strawberries were gross too, like they'd been frozen and thawed. Then this sort of pink merengue tasted like stale, pink wafer cookies. Suffice it to say, there was nothing "farm to table" about this dessert. I don't think my father has ever turned down a sweet in his life, but he was equally repulsed by this. We laughed about it and then threw the whole thing out. Place had an unfriendly, snobbish vibe.
We had dinner outside; the seating at the parklet was nice with background music. Service was great! Sourdough bread was good and octopus was great but a tad too salty. Salmon had too much broth. Most disappointing was the tortellini-which was served with only about 5 small tortellini. On the other hand, it had too many (about 5) spicy charred green peppers that were too spicy to eat.
Tortellini dish had Padron peppers which completely overwhelmed the dish- they were way too hot for a delicate pasta. Service was very slow as place was very busy.
It was fine. Outdoors did not really have much space - tables were very close together. Not a lot of food options, and everything was very "uniquely" put together
So first time here. Loved the decor and interior environment - lovely staff but a bit slow - maybe not their fault as the cooked food was very slow - we waited about 45 mins for the pork chop - which was delicious but took forever. Salads etc took much less time. Happy hour wine was delish - so all good except for time it took for out main course! I love that itâs a nice upmarket eating option on main st!
The food was a lot prettier than it was tasty. The best dish was the octopus which had an amazing sauce. Our least favorite was the tortellini - avoid at all costs. Service was good and so was the wine. I would come back for wine and a happy hour but probably not for a full meal.
Food was awesome. Great ingredients and prices were totally reasonable. Portions are big. Great server named Tim. The get it if youâre lucky not on the menu cinnamon roll made me weep.
Amazing!! Favorite brunch place on the weekends! The eggs Benedict is sooo delicious. You wonât be disappointed.
