Damn, this place slaps. I also love how the tip is included in the bill. Rest of the US needs to adopt this practice. Lobster roll is fire. Everything here is just superb. Loved the friendly and hospitable staff. They forgot to bring us our tea until we prompted them so they didn’t end up charging us and all the rolls were damn delicious.
The quality of the fish is very good and the rice is cooked and seasoned well. Overall the food good but exactly enough to fully scratch my sushi craving itch.The seating arrangement was very awkward for solo diners. There's a chef in the middle serving all the customers around them like at a sushi bar. It fetl very awkward to be by myself trying to get a quick lunch surrounded by groups of people seated so close to me. If you get claustrophobic around people, this is not a very good place for you.
Not much room to sit usually but the hand rolls are made fresh in front of you and served as you finish your previous one. Delicious food and a cool experience! Just expect to wait a bit to be seated during prime hours.
It was a good vibe, solid energy and good handroll! The fish was fresh enough and the speed of service was great. The staff was friendly and the bathrooms were very clean. Close to anything you want to do in Santa Monica and the prices are not too bad either! I would definitely recommend this as a quick and cheap sushi/handroll option!

Very limited menu and no ability to substitute but that's probably a good thing. Cold fish, warm rice and crisp seaweed make for a perfect handroll. Sit back, be patient, and enjoy the process!
This was my first visit and I really enjoyed the simplicity of the handroll idea. You get delicious almost crunchy nori wrapped around still warm perfect rice with a great sushi. put on a bit of wasabi and a light drip of soy to get a wonderful taste that's different from normal rolls I usually have elsewhere.
Good food, good quality. Nice service. The seats are not comfortable though.
That was really good, fresh and hot sushi. We really enjoyed it. We also liked kazu nori sweet sake too.
Very fast service. Would not recommend for larger groups. Seating is all bar seats, and will take longer for a larger group or seats to open up. Great for parties of 2.
