I'm from Texas and maybe I just had too high expectations from reading other reviews that said this place had authentic Texas bbq... it's not. The brisket was underwhelming and lacked the smoky flavor of true Texas bbq. The hot links were sub par to the sausages available at whole foods or local grocery stores. The holy bread was the biggest disappointment of all. The sauces they provide were just gross. Maybe if I didn't know what real bbq was I would have rated this 3 star. With that said, I have not tried other bbq places in LA so I can't compare this place to local competition. On a positive note, staff were super friendly and accommodating.
Probably because it’s located in Santa Monica…. But where are the fatty ribs? The juice tripping off. This place was dry af. They play country music but ain’t nothing country here
Would recommend - besides we also Kurt Russel come ind and get takeout. ??
For the location the food is at best ok. If this was somewhere where bbq is valued, it would be a one star.It's a miss all the way around. Won't return.
I am a delivery driver and went there because I thought I could grab some reasonably quick bbq to go. I get there seems like they just want to take care of to go orders. Seems like guy at counter was surprised I knew what I wanted. Then one of the employees shows up who apparently got a new motorcycle and they go out to ogle at it when they come back I am visibly upset and they say nothing after a couple more minutes they just then picked my food on the grill if you like cold medicinal environments and slow service go hete

The food was excellent! BBQ chicken and brisket! However, they lose stars, because I asked for white meat and they gave me dark. I asked for lean brisket and they gave me marbled. Plus, they forgot my Holy Roll that the meal came with. I would understand if it was during busy rush hours, but this was at 3 in the afternoon. This was a pick up order and I took the server who bagged the foods word that it was correct. I didn't want to make them rebag it. Again the food was still really good even though it wasn't what I ordered. I can only imagine how good it would've been if they had gotten my order correct!
LOVE LOVE LOVE but they’re online ordering has changed and there’s no option for me to order the chicken tenders anymore :(. It’s so sad because I would get them once a week and now the options are fried chicken or BBQ?
The girl who worked at the front counter to take the order was excellent and professional.
Amazing BBQ! The sweet sauce is so good.
