The Perfect Pizza! It starts with the crust. The dough is really unique and special and when fire your pizza in their wood burning stove it is hands down the best pizza on the Westside. We added our own toppings which were pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms and the ingredients were incredible as was the sauce and cheese. Don't miss the beet salad which had the most fresh and flavorful beets. The wine list is extensive and all the prices here quite reasonable. We enjoyed our table on the back patio and the almond cake is a great way to end a wonderful meal. Also shout out to the staff that are all attentive and friendly.
Both the mushroom and Brussels sprout pizzas are fantastic but don’t dismiss the eggplant sandwiches either. They’ve got a few decent salads as well. They sell a few pizzas by the slice too.
Had a wonderful time at Ghisallo and we’re very happy Ghisallo opened in our neighborhood :)We had the broccolini salad, pepperoni pizza, campesino pizza, and banana cream pie. Top to bottom this place was amazing, we’re definitely heading back. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. This is our new favorite spot!
Absolutely a must try! This is a gem of a pizza place along with other delicious items on the menu. But the pizza, oh yes. Perfect chewy and crispy dough and the truffle pizza is sublime. Cute patio in back. Good service. Have been twice in one week. That good.
Soggy bottom pizza. Tried this place twice now. Not a lot of space for dine in, but small back patio with great ambience and night lighting. Pizza is thin crust and although it is very tasty dough and great tasting, they made it in a way that is sort of wet/soggy bottom both times we were there. Maybe if you ask for extra crispy or lighter sauce? Not sure. I think it is worth it to keep trying until we get it right.
Lovely new local pizza spot! Beautiful yard out back, tasty pizza and great salads. The team are so friendly and helpful, glad to have these guys in the neighbourhood!
Tasty Italian restaurant in Ocean Park. Came here with a friend for brunch on a Saturday, and left so happy & full. You order at the counter first, and then seat yourself. Alternatively, you can scan the QR code at the table to place your order. Outdoor patio seating is available in the back and front of the restaurant. Credit cards are accepted. Metered street parking.Food-wise, everything was on point. We opted to try an array of food, and split everything. The kale salad and the antipasta salad were well-mixed and you can opt to get a half or full serving. The inferno pizza was my favorite, and had spicy salami on the top. The crust was Neopolitan style, with a perfect chewiness. The funghi and truffle pizza was slightly sweet, with a lot of caramelized onions. The sandwiches were also tasty, with a firm bread and well seasoned fillings. The eggplant Parmesan is a good vegetarian option, while the Italian sandwich had a nice bite.Last (but certainly not least), the chocolate cake was impeccable. It’s decadent with many layers, and was sweet without being cloying. The almond cake is an option for those who don’t like sweets at all, and has a salty nuttiness in the cake with a seasonal stone fruit on top.Overall, it’s a great spot for grabbing a casual meal with delicious food and a laidback, cute atmosphere.
I live in the neighborhood and I enjoy ordering from this place. The pizza is a little pricey but the ingredients are great quality. Some of the best meatballs I’ve had at a restaurant. The reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is because they don’t accept the gift card that someone purchased me online and they don’t pick up their phone. The only way I can order using this gift card is to go into the restaurant. Please pick up you phone and/or fix your gift card redemption.
Absolutely gorgeous patio with nice lights, a stunning pepper tree, and heat lamps. Casual and easy service design with nice staff. Best of all the food. Pizza to dream about every other night of the week, great sides, and desserts I honestly think about for days. A fabulous addition to Ocean Park.
Wow the food was delicious and the staff was wonderful! We had pizza and a couple of the cold salads. Pizza slices were massive and you can choose from multiple salads in a few different sizes.It was a little pricey but this is also Santa Monica, and they're clearly making everything from scratch. Post-pandemic, there aren't a lot of places doing high quality food like this.This is not delivery-friendly food so it's unfortunate people are complaining about that. If you order super fresh pizza and you're not popping it in your oven upon arrival it's not going to be so good. And you saw the prices before you ordered so get over it.Anyway, staff was very hospitable and kind. Highly recommend
