Fritto Misto was recommended by a friend and it looked good online, but I was disappointed in the overall experience.Their complimentary bread was dry and hard. I do recommend their "Fried Pillows" appetizer. On to the most important part: pasta. The noodles have good texture, but the sauces were all watered down with underwhelming flavor. Only plus size is that the portion is big enough to feed two per entrée!At the end of the day, this Italian restaurant has so much potential with their fast & friendly service, but they rely too heavily on its prime location to close the gap on their mediocre taste. Expect to pay $45-50 per person. I will not be returning anytime soon, sorry.
Great carbonara, our server Manuel was very kind and all around great service and Italian food, plus the location is great too!
I went here with my wife and kids for a nice dinner and boy did we get that. We walked in and they greeted us kindly we sat down and they gave us some complimentary bread which was very nice.We had manuel as our server and he was so kind I ordered a spaghetti Bolognase and a Diet Coke (Free refills) the pasta came and it was quite big it tasted like heaven. my son finished his pasta so afterwards they gave him a slice of free cake. Best restaurant in L.A I really recommend going here
Best dining experience we had in Santa Monica. Food was outstanding. Spaghetti Checca was great as was jumbo ravioli. Service from Lorenzo was wonderful. This is a must go to restaurant in Santa Monica.
Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Only my teenage son able to finish meal.I think pasta is fresh.value was great. Would highly recommend.variety of sauces and pastas so you can make whatever you like. Service was good and food came fast.
This place is littie! The calamari is delicious. The lasagna was very tasty. There are a lot of options so if you like Italian you can’t miss
Service was great and food was delicious. The outside pics I see here seem to be from the old location. Several people recommended this place and it did not disappoint-yum. Large portions and a lot of flavor. Only minus would be ladies bathroom, it was pretty torn up literally. Will definitely be back. Lots of vegetarian options too. Was too hungry to take a pic of my pasta but posting my boyfriend’s here.
We were sent here by Nichole at West 4th & Jane. Although they were quite busy, there was one table open for us. From the very start, we were treated to top notch service from Lorenzo and Rob. Both knew their menu and every detail of how the dishes were prepared. I had an Italian Old Fashioned cocktail that was delicious, but missing the Italian cherries that I like. The fresh bread was perfect with crunchy crust. My wife had the gnocchi stuffed with artichoke and spinach in a lemon sage sauce. The fresh sage was superb as was the rest of the dish. I had the prosciutto with sun dried tomatoes and caramelized onion. Again, the sauce was the best I’ve had and the other ingredients were done perfectly. We finished with tiramisu and limoncello shots to end an absolutely stellar meal. This place is relaxed, not pretentious and we felt as if we were at an Italian family’s home. We’re here for three days and will return to try some other items. Highly recommended!
As far as today, this is my favorite Italian restaurant around the world, including Italy! The best ñoquis, they were super busy and yet the service was excellent! The images on google don’t make justice, the place is lovely! You have to visit!!
We visited this restaurant on the final night of our holiday and had a lovely time. The staff were excellent, went above and beyond, food was delicious and very reasonably priced and they let you bring your own wine for a small corkage charge. Really vegetarian friendly- lots of options and able to construct your own pasta dish too. Would highly recommend ! Thank you
