The restaurant sits near a century old Moreton Bay fig and is adjacent to the pool area of the Fairmont Miramar hotel. This gives the scene a casual relaxed charm that makes the elegance and creativity of the menu even more exciting. The range of cocktails was interesting the wines impressive and the food outstanding. Great for people watching and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
This place is not uptight, a benefit , so i it isn’t Peninsula Hotel 5 star. But location , staff, food, experience,….yes!!! Especially at FIG- John, Emily , Eduardo , all the hostess staff , cooks, chefs servers and everybody- especially bartenders!!! This is a gem. Message me for entree recs- I’ve tried everything! Lobster Cobb is one of the best things anywhere in the world and the cocktails are out of this world.
We have been coming to the fairmont for over fifteen years mainly due to the wonderful breakfast, service and ambience at FIG. First time back since 2019 due to the pandemic and while service and ambience are still wonderful, there is perhaps a new chef as quite a few changes to the menu, which I totally understand apart from the infamous eggs Benedict which has been changed to a strange green jalapeño hollandaise. I appreciate the need to refresh the menu but to go with something spicey for a breakfast classic is not to everyone’s taste. Really hoping they introduce the classic version back so guests have the choice between the two.
Good food but no ambience at all. It’s a restaurant inside a hotel and not a place where I would recommend to go if staying somewhere else. Staff was still nice and the shortrib really convincing.
Excellent restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very attentive staff throughout the day. Interesting farm-to-table cuisine.
I was there with a huge family group for a wedding weekend and we all had lots of breakfasts at Figs. Amazing breakfast burritos!!
First brunch restaurant I tried while visiting in Venice Beach. I must say, it lives up to the hype! I can’t remember the name of this dish but it’s the only toast with bananas on the menu! Get it! It’s a must try unlike anything I’ve ever had before! Don’t underestimate the size and it’s pretty thick and filling. I sat at the bar and my server Felicity had the best personality and was very attentive! Definitely would come here again!
We had a reservation for 7:15, but were told we had to wait for 15 more minutes, which was a little frustrating (self explanatory). No big, we waited until 7:30, but then come 7:45 and still nobody came by to take our order. We were hungry so decided to go grab burgers nearby i nearby after still no food by 8:15. Our server, Michael was incredibly genuine and asked us to stay. We assured him we weren't upset with him, but really just wanted some food. He apologized, asked us to please give him a chance and we decided we may as well stay since it would take another 30 min before having something in our stomachs. He completely turned our experience around by checking in on us, offering us complimentary wine, and a surprise ending of complimentary most of our meal. We made the decision to stay based on his attitude and were pleasantly surprised by how he went above and beyond. Also, the Jorge steak was bomb.

Went here for breakfast! Excellent breakfast and I do not like breakfast food! It was not greasy like most breakfast food. Great outdoor seating! Haven’t eaten other meals here.
