Burgers are ok. Not bad; but over-rated.They’re like C-list wannabes pretending to be A-list with the whole “we don’t serve ketchup” thing.Franklin Barbecue serves ketchup—this place isn’t even in the same sport, let alone the same league, as Franklin Barbecue.
The salt and vinegar tater tot’s were AMAZINGLY awesome. My only reason for four stars… The Office Burger was great but it was served on a different bun which made for a very messy eating experience. Also the arugula was a bit too much and just overwhelmed the burger itself. It felt more like a salad between two non-burger buns. Also the bread used was super soggy which made for more squishy eating which isn’t what i was expecting. The bread was completely soaked thru… no bueno. Just food for thought! The staff was amazing and very cool of course!
By far and away my favorite burger in LA. I like everything about it without any changes or substitutions. Plus Fathers Office has a great vibe and a great selection of beer.Last time I was in, Pliny the Elder was proudly on tap. Combining that with a great burger and I’m really enjoying my meal.Looking forward to my next trip to LA so I can grab another burger.
Go Rams!! ?We came here not knowing if they'll have the LA Rams vs San Fran 49ers game on. ?They did, we got the best seats at the bar and also a couple rounds of awesome beers.Growing up in Milwaukee, we expect a neighborhood bar and we scored with this one:)We love living near a bar that serves Pliny on tap! Some frites would've been nice, but make the beer go faster.?We chose to savor the flavor. ?Our usualFood: Office burger, frites, chicken sandwichDrinks: Pliny, Sour beer, anything by LA Ale Works & Russian River Brewery************************************Original plan: After an online search for bars playing the Rams game in Santa Monica. We chose Dean's for the beach bar vibe over the sports bar.we wanted to go to Big Dean's by the SaMo Pier for the fun and burgers??, but decided to keep it closer to home with better beer.
Great food, great beer. We sat inside and ordered the Office Burger and the Fried Chicken sandwich. Both were delightful but I think I prefer the chicken sandwich. The link chi on top really hit the spot. Definitely recommend stopping in if you’re in the area.
Really nice staff and delicious food (GET THE OFFICE BURGER). I really appreciate the staff’s dedication to the new LA mandates and requesting for vaccinate proof to sit indoors. Great job guys!
Crowded called ahead arrived was seated then had over 20 people in line to order food & drinks from the bar (no table service) wait time to receive food way to long so walked out staff appeared indifferent walked back to R&D. Right choice.
My son and I are in town for his 18th birthday. He is a foodie like me and wants to enjoy their famous burger. We drive over to Santa Monica to have a great time and get stopped at the door because they don't allow anyone under 21. WTH???? I get a bar only not allowing under 21, but this is a full service restaurant with a bar. You have an underage person with their parent and they can't allow it??? I looked over their website, and unless it's hidden, they say nothing about 21 only... FAIL
Amazing!! The service is always great and nice ambiance. The burger lives up to the hype. The beer selection exceeds it. And other menu items like the beet salad will wow you!!Would love to come back when I get the chance!!
The hanger steak was cooked to perfection and thr pomme frites that went with it were great. No substitutions on food though. I wanted to try the burger, but not exactly the way they have it.
