I’ve stopped by on a whim at least a dozen times, and I always have such an enjoyable experience. The wine is on point, the food more than excellent (and prepared in such a small but expert space). And ask, and they’ll direct you to the perfect bottle for any future evening you are looking forward to.
Loved the Milo & Olive bread!
A nice vibe to enjoy a drink and relax.
I’ve had this on my saved list for a while because I love a good happy hour and had to give it a shot. What came out of it felt laughable. My friend and I showed up pretty early in the happy hour to a mostly empty patio and sort of searched around for a server. There was a woman outside having a full volume conversation near the entrance with a laptop that we figured was a patron trying to keep her business to herself so we found a server inside and asked to be seated on the other side of the patio. I will say our server was pretty darn nice but overall the experience was sort of comical. The wine on happy hour was pretty fair at 9 dollars a glass but we ordered the happy hour charcuterie board for 20 dollars and what came out almost, at the risk of aging myself, felt like we were getting punk’d. What looked like some thrown together mortadella and salami, with some random corn nuts and cornichons and a dollop of mustard. No bread, just a super thrown together plate. Alright sure. So we asked for bread and the bread itself is an extra 9 dollars. So for the sweet price of 47 dollars we got 2 glasses of wine, some thrown together cold cuts, and bread not including tax or tip. I’d give this one a hard pass. Also plot twist- the lady having the incredibly loud conversation that didn’t acknowledged us worked there. Wouldn’t ya know it.
It's okay. The wine selection is great but food is hit or miss. Cool vibe.
Fabulous experience both times we have visited! Jeremy, our bartender, was awesome and made us some amazing cocktails. The food items we ordered were excellent. Highly recommend!
Great wine bar, super friendly staff who were attentive and always asking if we needed anything. Lovely atmosphere and vibe with outdoor/patio seating and heaters for the LA “cold”.
I just popped in to grab a quick bottle of wine, but I was blown away by the depth of options and the great pricing. Really great wine shop. I can't wait to come back to eat and drink next time.
Press club is a hip wine bar to go to in the city. Its located in the union square area and when you enter, your directed to go down the stairs. The atmosphere is awesome and the place is really trendy. The people that I saw were all well-dressed and classy! It's dim lighted and just the vibe is so chill! This is a great date spot as well! Nice selection of wines and friendly service. There is a small dance floor but people dont really dance. I would definitely come back here again!
I am so happy that we checked this place out. I really hope someone from LA gets a hold of this concept, because it's a good one and I don't want to wait until the next time I'm in LA to revisit the idea. It's like a lounge with a great selection of tasty wines. Like all of the other yelpers mentioned, you are given a card when you enter in... so you don't have to worry about exchanging money at the bar.
