I was in SM looking for a decent slice of pizza. Drive by Dagwoods and decided to give it a try. This is not the place for a decent slice. It's the place for a GREAT slice. Can't say enough about the generous amount of toppings on a huge slice with the perfect crust. On top of all that, the owner seems like a genuinely great dude. Highly recommended.
Great people, good pizza, excellent draft beer. All the other options are top notch as well. The grilled chicken Caesar salad is our favorite. No worries! Have fun!

No Stars!!!! Delivery driver almost crashed into me tonight after running a stop sign. My heart is still racing as I type this after we exchanged a few honks. When I realized he wanted to be confrontational; I immediately called the restaurant to report his awful driving. The manager was very apologetic and seemed to be concerned for the well-being of my family. He offered us a meal (which I declined) and stated that he would speak to the driver once he returns, until I mentioned to him that the driver was still speeding down pico.
The macaroni pizza was hands down the best pizza I have ever had. Please, please, please, PLEASE make this a permanent addition to the menu. So good!!
They give back to the community and are very supportive of many local schools and organizations
I was in Santa Monica to pick something up for Thanksgiving and decided I'd find somewhere fun for lunch. I saw Dagwoods and thought they might specialize in sandwiches. Turns out they are a pizza and pasta place.I had a 2 slice lunch special with a drink. The value was fantastic for Santa Monica. The pizza was close but not quite NY style. The dough was slightly thicker and there was more cheese. Both touches were appreciated.I don't know if I'll make it back here since I rarely go to Santa Monica but I enjoyed Dagwoods. If I were a local, I'd visit often and try more of the menu.
Customer service is horrible low-key. Ordered a Hawaiiyen but the flavor was ok. Samtamonica has better places. Expected better low-key. I might have been the bad customer service
