Ahi tuna tartar toast and hamachi crudo were soooo good / fresh. Also great natural wine selection. The paper plates were a little off for an expensive place.

Fine and great flavour food.Everything we tried was excellent and felt fresh. The wine pairing we took accompanied the food very well.Service was nice, although ordering at the counter is at odds with the food quality.Paper plates are a really poor choice for the price and amazing food. This makes no sense to me; it kills the experience and distract from the presentation and great flavor you experience when dining there.Overal, fantastic food and good service that is detrimentally tackled by paper plates.

The food was amazing! I ordered the tuna tartare toast. The bread had great texture, and crisp to perfection. Olive oil was not overpowering, but contributed sufficiently to the flavor. And the tartare - one of the best I've tasted!I was told the menu changes depending on what ingredients they can obtain fresh. I will definitely be coming back to try the other items on the menu as everything seems appropriately priced for seafood and the location. The staff were really friendly, and helpful as well. I called ahead to ask if I needed a reservation, but didn't need one since I was dining solo. They loved my dog, who kept me company while I was eating, and treated him with much love!

This is my favorite place on Main Street in Santa Monica! The quality and presentation of the food is top notch! The crudo and other raw fish dishes better be good given the restaurant's name...and they are crushing it! Check their daily fresh menu and just get whatever speaks to you. They are not a one trick pony though. The vegetable dishes are fantastic as well. The vegan Caesar salad is insane and love the garbanzo bean toast as well. Go...NOW!!!

We made a late lunch reservation about an hour before arriving and got a table. Delicious Hamachi crudo, could have used more sweet citrus flavor. The caviar nachos were so savory and all the flavors went well together. The tuna tartar was amazing as well. Very pricey as other have mentioned but service was excellent and everyone was very friendly.

Really delicious, fresh fish. They have a $15 lunch special until 2pm which seemed fairly priced. We just missed it and opted to split the chef’s choice which comes with 3 crudo for $60 and the prawns a la plancha. Everything was delicious. But definitely left wishing there was more. Especially with $5 bread add ons and wine pairings, it can get very pricy very quickly. Would come back, but would probably save it for a special occasion

We popped in without a reservation on a busy night with minimal hopes of getting a spot but we were able to eat at the bar top outside no problem. They had a set menu due to being a holiday, which worked great for us, we LOVE share plates and trying new things. The food was so good, I’m genuinely blown away for how good each and every dish was and can’t wait to go back. The chef and his partner were super attentive and involved, they came out to check on us personally. The environment was great, good wine, lovely music, great food- you can tell they care a lot about quality.

I love this place! Especially as it is a small family owned business. Some of the best fresh fish we have ever had. You can tell lots of care goes into the selection of items for the menu as well as prep and presentation. The Maple Almond Buttercup for desert topped off a wonderful meal!

This was the best meal I had in LA. Every bite was delicious and so, so fresh. The staff/owners were incredibly kind and accommodating. I came in ready to splurge/try everything and kept exclaiming just how insanely delicious everything tasted.I really appreciate their values, ethics, and knowing that they only source sustainable seafood, nutrient-dense veggies, use compostable packaging, and pay their staff well.

This place is seriously world class. While the fish is undoubtedly incredible, I come back for the radicchio salad at least twice a week. I always feel so welcome and at ease here. The business model is also one you feel great about supporting. My favorite place by far to bring visitors to.
