Was visiting a friend locally, as I was from halfway around the country. She suggested California Pizza Kitchen. I was all excited, because I haven't tried it before. Apparently, they have taken several salads off their menu, one of which my friend always ordered. So, we sat and sat no service. Twenty minutes later finally took our drink orders. 20 more minutes pass no drinks yet. Had to track down manager to get our drinks, and to take our order. Finally ordered, and still really no service after that for refills, etc. The pizza was HORRIFIC, and to top it off about 23.00. Came out with no sauce. Their idea to fix it was to bring a side of sauce. Then, we ate a few bites and at that time ready to go, because I had a long drive back to Anaheim to my hotel. Then, we waited forever for our ticket. Finally got our ticket about 30 minutes later. To make a long story short we arrived at around 7 didn't get out of there until after 9 bc of poor slow service. Highly disappointed.
This place was pretty good food the drinks were good although a little expensive for me

My husband and I are not a huge fan of chain restaurants, especially when we are on vacation. We were very pleasantly surprised by the service and food quality at California Pizza Kitchen. Staff was attentive. Pizza and salad were fresh and hot!
We came down from the DFW for my daughters bday. The experience here was amazing, i had a woman wait or table and she went on and beyond to assist us. She made my daughter's birthday amazing and our experience. Staff was friendly and greeted us right when we walked in.
Love there food always get pizza when we stay in Santa Monica. Ride the electric bikes from our hotel to get pizza and ride back .
Great service! The new chick pea crusty pizza is awesome, and their take & bake deals are the best!
Our waiter named Faruq was fantastic. We ordered a really complicated pizza (tostada pizza and spicy chipotle chicken pizza with various substitutions). Faruq really cared about getting our order correct, and because he double-checked everything with the chef while he was making our pizza, it came out perfect. He was really fast and kind as well. The general manager was also invested in making sure everything was good. We loved our experience and will definitely be back
Horrible wait time to get you seated and then to come and take order. We ordered curbside pick-up while waiting for our server to serve us water.
CPK is… CPK, everything as expected. Same pizza as every CPK, I personally got a Caesar salad with crispy chicken which was not bad
