What a gem! We stopped over in Santa Monica during lunch time on a weekend and were worried about finding an open and not too busy place. This little restaurant is right on Ocean Avenue next to the beach. They have a little terrace in the back. The food was delicious, and the owner is a lovely lady from Italy. They serve delicious homemade bread warm from the oven! The minestrone was amazing as well as the pizza. Very pleasant experience!
We stayed two days/nights in Santa Monica and ate out every lunch and supper. The food here was better than any restaurant we ate at. Pizza was authentic Italian and VERY delicious. Cost was reasonable too!
I tried this place for the first time at the recommendation of my friends and I adored everything. The staff were incredibly kind and funny, and they recommended the Spaghetti Carbona I ended up ordering and it was delicious. I cleaned my plate. The pizza was freshly made and was perfectly sized for the group. The meal was a bit on the pricier side but it was worth it and an amazing dinner with friends.
I was looking for an Italian restaurant near the pier. This had good reviews on Google and I didn’t need a reservation. Perfect, I thought, let’s try it! So happy we did! Old School Italian in the best way. Bonus we got directed by our waitress to see if we’d enjoy sitting out back. We did! Great view of the Santa Monica Pier. My daughter devoured her ravioli and they looked amazing. I had the Chicken Vesuvio, cannot say enough about how perfect the chicken was and I’d pour that gravy on anything. We felt so very welcome on top of everything else. Highly recommend Bruno’s!
We came in without a reservation and waited for 20 min with four adults and two kids. Service was incredibly fast, my son with restaurant expertise was very impressed. The food was right on the money and staff was extremely invested in getting everything done well. Such a good experience, we had twice as many people to feed the next night so we ordered four XL pizzas to go. The front of house asked after the kids, we explained we had too many to dine in! Nice to feel so welcome in a killer little restaurant.
We checked out this place for dinner after reading the reviews. I am glad we did. The food was amazing. I love the tomato sauce base, home made bread and pasta. The staffs are friendly and helpful. It’s nice to see a thriving local family owned restaurant.
My boyfriend and I ate here for the first time and it was a wonderful experience :) The pastas came in huge portions and were delicious! Our server was also very warm and welcoming and attentive to our needs. I wish I remembered her name but she was really great. If we ever decide to eat out in Santa Monica, we'll definitely consider here again!
The other reviews of this restaurant absolutely do it justice. The food was to die for and very generous portions to boot, plus our waitress was very nice. You can even see everything being made fresh. If you're a fan of Italian food/pasta you've gotta try this place out!
Love this place !Have been eating their pizza for years now and it never disappoints. I definitely recommend giving it a try. The staff is very attentive and sweet. My family and I could eat this every week.
