Just love this place, very beautiful view

I had a lunch date set up this Saturday afternoon for myself and a friend, but in true [redacted] fashion, they canceled last minute. Although I found this place on a whim, the pictures I'd seen online of the view overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica Pier made me excited enough to not cancel the reservation I'd made. So, I proceeded to the Lowes Hotel where the restaurant is located. The second I walked in my senses were overwhelmed with scents of chamomile and essentials oils. The staff greeted me warmly with big smiles and pleasantries as I made my way to the restaurant's host stand which was conveniently located on the first floor. The host had no problem seating me although my reservation was for two. I think she pitied me a little after sharing with her that my friend canceled and I'd be dining alone, because she smiled empathetically and ask me to follow her to the best seat on the patio. The pictures online did no justice to the landscape that lay before me! The horizon was filled with mountains, miles and miles of sand, the beautiful Santa Monica Pier that seems so close you could feel the excitement from the tourist that cued the line for the mini rollercoaster. It was beautiful! The scent of salt water filled the air as I got situated at my table. My server, Julio, didn't waste any time greeting me with the menu and a blanket in hand as it gets pretty chilly from the sea breeze.I ordered the ribeye medium well with a side of sautéed shrimp. For the drink, Julio recommended a full bodied blend right from Napa Valley, The Prisoner. It paired perfectly with my meal. For dessert, I devoured the strawberry covered cheesecake in just a few bites! While the check was a little high for just myself, it was all worth it. It wasn't just lunch. It was an experience that I'm excited about having again! Great job!

Bad service, over priced food that’s what you eat from a cheap wedding dinner that may worth $30 set, with half the potion.Highly recommend just come and order the cheapest wine/drink from menu for the view.

We stayed at the Loews and enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and happy hour. The outside firepit tables overlooking the beach made a safe, scenic, outdoor dining spot. For Happy Hour, the waiter brought out blankets since it was a 50 degree day.Inside, the tables area spread out in the lobby and along big glass windows. There was always a good crowd for dinner.Breakfasts were all plentiful and delicious. You will not be hungry after the eggs, breakfast meat, hash brown, and 2 thick slices of toast. The strawberry waffles were just perfect. They also have pancakes. On the healthier side, there is an avocado toast, muesli with sliced apples (big bowl - I was full), and acai sorbet with blueberries and toasted coconut. Coffee is good, nice flavor, not watery.Happy Hour is 5:00 - 6:00 pm and features 50% off all drinks, bottles of wine and appetizers. We enjoyed the beet burrata (type of white soft cheese), meatballs. Although the raw tuna appetizer looked impressive, it was only 4 pieces of tuna served on a big block of ice with microgreens sprinkled over. The carrot hummus had a large helping of hummus with some carrots and pita bread. You will need more pita bread. If you go for lunch, get the chicken sandwich - it had 2 patties, swiss cheese, avocado, bacon - juicy and such a overload of flavors. It was huge for one person. We shared it with the carrot hummus and an avocado toast.Edwardo/Eduardo and Julio were personable, caring waiters.

This definitely is a restaurant where you are paying for the ambiance and the kind service from the waiters. There were a few mistakes that occurred throughout the dinner but they were swiftly rectified and we were not charged for the mistakes. For the amount of money that we paid I would have expected a little bit more whether it be in quantity of food, quality of the food, or less in regards to the errors that occurred with our orders. I feel we overpaid in general and would only return if the cost went down despite how enjoyable the atmosphere would be be for an area to propose to a significant other. We paid a $150 for 2 people and did not even order any alcohol or desert.

Amazing views of Santa Monica pier and the Pacific ocean. Warm fire pits and friendly service with good food.

Our server, Vincent, was the perfect host and made the evening worthwhile- attentive and everything done with a smile. Along with spectacular ocean views, expansive wine selection and cozy, comfy seating round a fire pit, these were the positives. They even offer blankets. With the beautiful ocean view and soothing sound of the waves, one would expect the food to match, but unfortunately, it was disappointing.A way overpriced piece of plain chicken sitting in a stew of beans that tasted like they've come from a can, had an 'off' taste about it and left me with a sore tummy. Ambitiously complicated sounding dishes couldnt make up for the reality. Come for the ambience, and a drink and wonderful servers like Vincent, but I'd suggest saving your appetite for elsewhere.

Thursday morning breakfast. Good vibes due to the view. Service was good. I was surprised at how much food we got. Normally I expect barley enough food when you're dealing with a restaurant attached to a hotel where the prices are $$$, but I was definitely given enough food to get full. The waffle was really good. I'd suggest the waffle.

Amazing! So beautiful, great service! Good food! A must when you visit Santa Monica.

We went tonight for dinner and drinks, but it was really too cold to sit outside comfortably, even though we were at a beautiful fire pit. Damien was great, polite and attentive, making great suggestions for the food and the drinks. We would absolutely come again the next time we’re in Santa Monica!
