Give me Veggie veggie any day of the week. This burrito is bursting with flavors off the grill. It is sooo good! So much flavor. I was not expecting to like it that much. The tortilla was slightly crispy on some parts which gave it some fun texture combined with the flavor. I added rice and requested the black beans. Then when you top it off with the green sauce, all the fireworks go off!
The drinks/Frescas were dang good. I got the 1/2 rotisseries w flour tortilla. Def got my grub on. Would def go back. Music was a little loud for my taste and no bathrooms but it’s Santa Monica so I understand why. Great location. It was my first time and the employees were very kind and friendly. I enjoyed my experience. Big ups to Bennys Tacos ;)
Super authentic tacos and Mexican food, at a really great price. The aguas frescas were okay, but eh, that's not really why you'd go there.Bit of a wait, but it was no problem at all. 15-25 minutes maybe? No skin off my back. Will definitely be coming back soon!
The surf and turf burrito is a must have, fresh prawns and a tender steak all in a tasty burrito, it is like feeling heaven in your mouth.
I always drive by Benny's tacos strolling down in Santa Monica, and something about it always stands out. It's yellow signage is a given, but it just looks like an authentic, cheap Mexican joint that speaks to me.Rolled up on a Friday night and it was pretty mellow around the store front. Mostly outside seating and not many patrons, so ordering and receiving the food was quick and easy.I was debating between a burrito and the taco plate. Asked the cashier his recommendation and he made the wise suggestion that if I was really hungry, I should go with the burrito, but for a quick bite to go with the tacos. Safe to say he was right.On the contrary, the taco plate is still a larger portion than I anticipated. I had two carnitas tacos and boy do they pack them with a ton of meat here. I was only a little hungry, and this meal made me more than full. On top of the tacos, the beans, rice, and side of chips make up for a pretty extensive plate - all for just over $10.Competing with a variety of other Mexican restaurants in the Santa Monica area, I would suggest Benny's more than most in part to their reasonable prices, high quality food, and friendly service. And I'll definitely be returning soon to try that big burrito.Taco plate
Food, and location are amazing. Services is awesome, except the guy on the register who had NO PATIENCE AT ALL. It wasn't busy, and barely answer any question. I believe he assumed that we the knew the place very well, and we memorize the menu.
Went for the California Burrito and was not satisfied with my choice. Burrito was barely warm, lacked beef, and the chips that came with were limited. For the price paid, I was not happy.
I tried this restaurant a few days ago and the foods are great and the cashiers are so nice especially Veronica. I would rather eat here than anywhere else, I would recommend this to my family and friends and whoever is reading this, go try it out it’s great!
I was greeted and helped by Veronica who was amazing she suggested I tried rotisserie chicken and a salad and I gotta say I was kinda surprised the chicken wasn’t dry and would definitely come back and would recommend this place if you’re ever around the area.
All I can say is…. Yum yum yum!!! Everything is delish but I can 100% vouch on the veggie items! Veggie burrito and tacos! Mmmmmm!!My husband had the California burrito and he said it was fantastic!
