I’ve had a few nice experiences at this restaurant during my stay in Santa Monica. In this restaurant you will find great Thai food and nice, caring and kind staff, including the manager.Thanks for being so lovely people. I will go again in case I visit LA again. Best wishes from Spain!
I was there on vacation with the family and went to several pricey restaurants, but Bangkok West was the real surprise, for half the price of the other restaurants we got a meal that was twice better. Easily the best meal we had on that vacation, their fried rice is probably the best I've ever head -- and as New Yorker, I had many -- the restaurant is also very pleasant and the staff is beyond friendly, I also had a great soup, and a great yellow curry, as well as an amazing desert which is thai version of a crepe but that even being on a strict diet, I could not resist. Truly a great restaurant and I would go there again when I am back in LA.
Fantastic Wonton Soup, Beef Pho, Thai Fresh Rolls and Pad Thai. Very authentic, great presentation, and wonderful flavor. So glad we wandered in!
Hate to give just 1 star - but there was nothing good about my experience. Food was bland, over cooked and soggy. I had the Ginger Soup....no taste of Ginger and the Jasmine rice was overcooked and mushy. Had Pad Se-eau as well - no flavor at all...no broccoli either. Also had the gyoza, again flavorless and soggy. I had to wait for at least an hour for my order, and expected it to be hot! Fresh and flavorful. It was none of those. I understand shot staff, but if this is how the food taste...then it gets the 1 star. :(
Excellent Thai food. I was held up sick in a Santa Monica hotel, so needed to order via Uber Eats. The packaging, delivery and quality of the food was perfect.
Excellent food. Definitely recommend. I had Pad Thai and my partner had the whole cod. We both ate it all despite very large portions. Fresh spring rolls also super tasty, good twist on the usual. We ate in and staff were friendly but appeared to be SUPER busy with take out orders and a never ending line of grumpy delivery service drivers. ?
Visited Bangkok West Thai late at night just before closing (arrived at 8 PM when closing at was 9 PM), and selected the Pho Noodle under Famous World Soup category since that was what I was craving. I wasn't really too impressed because the flavors were a bit bland, but maybe that's on me for selecting a Pho dish at a Thai restaurant. There's a wide variety of items on their menu and I feel like there were probably other options I could've picked that would've landed better, since everything else around looked really good. Would definitely visit to try something else.
