I haven't eaten at one of these restaurants in years, but my wife wanted to try it so we did. We both decided to get the birria beef tacos. We loved them. It reminded me of the deep fried shredded beef burritos we used to get when I was a kid, and that's a long time ago. A little overpriced for what they are, but what isn't these days. There is enough variety in their menu that the whole family should be able to find something they like. I'll definitely be trying more of their menu (and getting more of those birria tacos!).
El Pollo Loco is my favorite chicken take out. But, Santa Maria does not meet the same standards as mist others I've been to. Get this.. the store didn't have chicken the evening I went..early evening. I could only get chopped as in a burrito or salad. The salad was wilyed and old. I really wanted a chicken meal at 6 p.m. No chicken.
Have ate here many, many times. Extra delicious tostada salad for a nice price. Your belly will be filled to the brim with tasty goodness ?
Staff was very friendly , Thanks Noah for being helpful.I really like the new birria quesadilla.It's pretty good.Plus they had the order to us pretty fast.
El Pollo is not what it was when they first started 30 or so years ago. This location was a bit un-kept. The staff was fine and friendly.

Went to try the new saladsCouldn't get anyone to take my order,waited a good 5 minutes. Disappointed won't be back.
Good experience. Associate, while taking my order, was friendly and courteous. Wait time for food was about 5 minutes. Food was hot and very good. I had the chicken/avocado burrito. It was delish.
The lady at the drive thru was very rude. We orderd food at the drive thru and we noticed a few of our items was missing. We tried to alert the lady by saying excuse me, excuse me, and she ignored us and pretended we wernt there. We literally waited 5 minutes and she still refused to acknowledge us. Thats not good customer service. We drove away. Even though we were missing several items. Like i understand its fastfood, but when a customer asks for your help dont ignore them and pretend they arent there so they can go. Terrible service.
The cashier on the drive thru was amazing. She was funny, helpful, kind and full of holiday cheer.
