Great family owned restaurant. Wonderful food! Randomly found on vacation. Will return!
Top notch Italian restaurant. Ordered meatballs on polenta and seafood stew. Both were fantastic. Their bread is great too. I say this as someone who bakes a lot of breads and who is very picky about them. I judge Italian restaurants by their basics such as breads, much as I judge japanese or Chinese restaurants by the quality of their rice.
We loved our visit to Tramonti, it's only half a mile from the beach but is really elevated from the food options near the boardwalk/shoreline and had more reasonable prices. Every dish our party ordered was incredible, and you could see the pizza and pasta being prepared by hand in the open kitchen. We also loved how cozy the patio area was and the staff were great. I would definitely recommend making a reservation to make sure you get in, especially on the weekend, but well worth it.
We tried several things here including spaghetti and soup, very delicious. We also tried pizza, “meat monster”, it was so great! Guess it was authentic Italian pizza, with very thin slices, juicy ground meats and pepperoni. I would like to come back to eat pizza. Never tasted like this great before! The service was also nice and considerate.
Excellent food and quality of service
What the hell is wrong with you people? This is an amazing place with great staff, wonderful food at reasonable prices, and a family business. There is a pandemic going on. Sorry if your gnocchi was a bit thick, or the server did not tap dance at your table. This restaurant is an absolute jewel. Take your Tesla and go somewhere else. I love Tramonti.
Went here with a group of 16 people for a birthday party. The wait staff was very friendly and professional, got everything right and on point. The food came out quickly and all at the same time.Overall this was a very pleasant experience, the reason I give it 3 stars is because I feel like it is heavily over priced for the size of the plates and for the quality of the food. Some plates were larger but many were small, much of the food was great but several plates were just ok. I feel like if I am paying 25$ for fettuccini Alfredo it should be on point. They only have a few beers to chose from.I would definitely check this place out again.**Update 3/2/22.My overall review stands. I have raised it from 3 stars to 4 stars. Went here for a birthday dinner of 6 people. Upon arrival I ordered beers for our party, they only have 2 beers to choose from, but they were local and cold, so I'd say they are on point. The table was wet because I bumped into it and spilled water, but the waitress helped us clean it up, although it was still wet after. The bread and olive oil and vinegar were on point and held is over until our meals arrived. The food came out quickly and at the same time. The meatballs and polenta were the star of the show, which consisted of 5 savory balls on top of a slab of polenta smothered in delicious red sauce. They do not offer a complementary birthday dessert. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back
First time going to downtown Santa Cruz and this gem was a solid first choice. Great wine, beer and cocktail selection. And the food is superior in terms of taste, presentation and variety. Atmosphere was quaint but hip and the crowd ranged all age levels so that shows everyone loves the food and drink here! Highly recommend to call ahead on weekends and dinner time because it does get packed!
There were some decent gluten-free and vegetarian options. I really liked the eggplant dish, but the artichokes tasted canned.
Always a great experience here! Food is always consistent and they have great Aperol Spritz's if you do not want wine. They also have an nice outdoor space if you prefer outdoor dining :) Pictured is STROMBOLI CALZONE and SHORT-RIB RAVIOLI.
